Even though she's a girl - Darren's christened her baldric!! 😂 she's the stuffiest of all the chickens - the one with the sprinkled leg it chick-a-let-a 😂 Poor girl came out of her box with a sprained ankle 😭😭 The kids are going to make the other two ( even though Darren's calling them Pepsi and Shirley!! ) Patsy is not impressed ! But they ll get used to each other, even though baldric tried to peck her through the bars!! I seriously think I m going to end up@the chicken lady!! ( I already want more!!) Thank you to everyone who’s ordered the chicken house and coaster 💕💕 thank you for helping me keep the girls happy and healthy - plus save up for more girls in the spring ... I m so excited - all profits from the sale of any of the chicken related #emmabridgewater pattern all goes for the up keep of Chickaletta- Baldric Pepsi & Shirley 😍 We re planning on adding at least min of another 4 in March / April - then another 4 girls 6 weeks after - giving the others time to adjust - or we might just get 8 and see if there are any not picked up at the end of the day .. so excited - to give more girls a good home - space to roam / natural foods - a chance to grow all their feathers back - and just enjoy life - whether they lay eggs for not. Chickaletta has nt laid any eggs since the weather has turned cold - which is fine - she ll either start again when it’s warmer or she won’t - but she ll still have a home for the rest of her days. It's a beautiful day to collect chickens ( 😬 ooops on yesterday's faux pas!!) We re just getting the furniture out of the car! ( god it's heavy ) and then dressed and out on our travels again! 😂 Eddie is def broody - I have to keep kicking her off eggs - but if I do she should be ok In a few days - otherwise if I leave her to it - it could take 3-5 weeks where she does nt eat and drink properly - poor girl - I feel mean taking her of her nest - but I don't want her to be ill...
