And my quarantine project of two weeks and a month of procrastination has come to an end! Custom First Order pants! The pants are distressed mom jeans from @hottopic and the paint is acrylic. See if you can spot the references to First Order favorites Matt and Randy!

“Enemies of the First Order, we will soon snuff out your meager resistance. You’ve chosen the wrong side, and now you’ll pay.” Is this my way to cope with missing that animatronic? Maybe, but you’re not getting me out there in Floridian July heat. Armitage can wait.

More photos from my trip to Batuu East at the beginning of February. It became a running joke by the end of our trip that, while my friends got lots of positive attention from Rey, Finn, Chewie, and Vi Moradi, I was the trouble-magnet for every First Order unit on Batuu. I think this is my fourth or fifth time getting stopped. All I wanted was a blue milk!

I have nothing but good things to say about the cast members, who acknowledged our hard work on our costuming and put in extra effort to make things even more immersive for us. In other interactions, I got Kylo Ren and his honor guard to back up and warn me to calm down with the sheer power of murderface (while not moving, number one priority is making sure the actors don’t feel unsafe) and tanked a very tense encounter with a First Order captain while my friend hacked a nearby comm tower. I felt simultaneously badass and like I was probably about to be hauled away to Space Jail.

The little boy next to me there intervened on my behalf with those troopers. Dude’s gonna be the next Jedi for sure.
