Our hearts are made heavy with the passing Marian Denise Fleming Dryden. She along with her family and the much loved Clifton TN Church have blessed many Baxter students, the La Vega congregation, and innumerable Hondurans. In this photo Marian is the fourth person to the right of Dianna, her mother Pam is next to Dianna, and her father Larry is in front of her. "You could have just easily been born to an impoverished family in Honduras, Uganda, Indian, or ..." Frequently I will reference this when a new brigade arrives. Children Fitted with Glasses. Becky Rachels shared, "Several children fitted with eyeglasses. One patient touched my heart, a 53 year-old deaf mute. He communicated through his sister; the two of them used their own sign language. We fitted him with a pair of glasses that will help him perform his job which requires him to do measurements." Becky and her sister, Melanie Brown of the Clifton, TN, Church operated an eyeglass clinic alongside Baxter staff, Dr. Erazo, her son and daughter. 270 patients were fitted in less than a week. For years Clifton have operated out of a three room examen and storage area in the Baxter clinic. #baxterclifton #baxterclinic #baxtermissionbrigades2017 (at Baxter Institute)

Working Together. Members of the Clifton Church and the Blacksburg/Lynchburg Church brigades along with members from the La Vega Church, Baxter Staff and Dr. Xiomara Erazo form a human chain.
