Wir fordern Sendezeit bei Bayern 3 für eine Sendung zu anti-asiatischem Rassismus!

most of you heard about the bayern3/matuschik case (the audio: here, good articles: here, here and here) until now the radio program seems to think their "apology" and matuschiks "sick leave" would bring this case to an end and finally bury all claims. unfortunately a dismissal seems out of reach, the most we can demand is airtime with a detailed and thorough discussion on internalized racism and the problematic media coverage on anti-asian behaviour. more detailed explanations can be found in german/english and korean through this link pls support.

I honestly think, it is very telling, how all people here in Europe who loudly supported BLM (which is ofc the right Thing to do) are now awfully quiet with anti-asian Sentiment growing and an increase of Attack s against Asians happening in the US and the UK. Just because "it doesnt happen" in other european countries, it still important to speak about, also with what happened with Bayern3 Radio Host and BTS.

Yet, yall are quiet. Yall are acting like "asian people arent as discriminated as black people. And this kind of thinking is precisely the Problem.

And no this didnt start with Covid. It Just got worse.

Alter was geht bei Bayern3 und Matthias Matuschik.

„Nichts gegen Südkorea, man kann mir jetzt nicht Fremdenfeindlichkeit unterstellen, nur weil diese Boyband aus Südkorea… Ich habe ein Auto aus Südkorea. Ich habe die geilste Karre überhaupt.“

Peinlich ey, und dann diese lahmen Entschuldigungsversuche.

Kleine Pisser und Urlaub in Nordkorea - diese Wortwahl ist echt unglaublichmich. Und grad wo in der ganzen Wel täglich asiatisch aussehende Menschen angepöbelt und verprügelt werden diesen Zusammenhang zu Viren zu stellen, eklatant unterste Schublade. Das *ist* Rassismus, keine Diskussion.

Auch echter Großhirnmove jetzt rumzuheulen und alles auf die fürchterliche Fangemeinde zu schieben.

Glaube dahat ein Musikelitist ein bisschen zu sehr das innere Arschloch raushängen lassen.

Des Weiteren verwies der Sender auf das Engagement von Matuschik in der Flüchtlingshilfe und seinen stetigen Einsatz gegen Rechtsextremismus: Diese zeigten, dass ihm Fremdenfeindlichkeit und Rassismus in jeder Form absolut fernlägen.

this case once again shows how stubborn german media is. trying to bury the topic over the weekend and continue to portray themselves all high and mighty. "racism in our rows? nooooo"

wow, some german news outlet is downplaying the current issue by saying this is just an "event of entertainment" and how we're all not rly interested in that topic. im speechless. there are so many great articles out there but face of reality is that the vast majority of reports just jump on the teenage fangirl narrative and portrays it in a way that we're just mad over the word "p**swards", without understanding where the actual problem lies. not even mentioning news outlets who intentionally stay still.

good journalism is becoming a rarity...
