The Bayshore Inn (1966): Another legendary hotel where legends stayed. Howard Hughes' final days "The Aviator", were here, where he holed himself up in the top floor suites growing his shaggy beard & long finger nails in an ever-crazed state of OCD madness ~ all happened here. Vancouver's old nickname "Terminal City" ~ a double entendres of more than mere shipping/rail/air terminals ... from Errol Flynn onwards - many just wound up here. Like driftwood upon her shores, Vancouver is a final terminus for many. Such is the macabre, and mystery of this place (note in background ancient First Nations burial ground "Deadman's Island"). #vancouver #vancouverlife #vintagestyle #bayshoreinn #vancouverisawesome #legends #urbanlegends #westinbayshorevancouver #howardhughes #terminal #cityofstars #vancouvernoir (at The Westin Bayshore)
