the first drawing was another test of the comic artstyle that I have since abandoned.... I also realize that these seem to characterize Fuu a certain kind of way that I don't usually...
small Aidil doodles, the second one is after Neal gets punched in the face by Oda....
Small Nicolai sketches.. the first one would be the first time Nicolai says he loves Jude (._.) honestly, the Judolai (or Nude if you prefer) is really the most indulgent story of mine.. probably..
also excuse that Jude is just a block lmao
These are from the same batch of drawings as the previous post, also mostly as sketches for the comic (except drawing 2, which is Vesna and Ivancica, who I can never draw right). I had contemplations about changing Hermes' outfit (drawing 1) but ultimately just went with the original design for it I had made years ago.... funny how that works out..
These are from earlier this year, done as practice for the style I would use in my summer comic. I had decided on this cell-shaded style and while I definitely think it works for these drawings, it definitely ended up making the comic process longer than needed... but I have learned from that experiment (^_^)☆ and I am making a continuation to that comic that has a more efficient style.
OC Stuff (DnD)
Since this consists of a lot of characters, I'll make it in chronological order of creation. Very little accuracy to actual DnD, I am sorry in advance to proper DnD fans.
These were characters for the first DnD campaign my friend group did, which was following the actual DnD lore and rules (this would not be the case with following campaigns). My character is the blue guy Zale, who I designed around the ocean. He is a specific creature from the DnD lore.. but I genuinely do not recall which. In the first place I am really not savvy with fantasy and fantasy creation, so designing for this campaign required a little more effort on my part, to middling results. The other character was drawn for someone else's character.
OK so this is the point where we gave up on real DnD rules and just did JoJo DnD (and every campaign would be like this from now on). This guy was probably a recluse and his Stand was that he could take or store anything in his infinity Bucket. The other thing I struggle with, alongside fantasy, is designing interesting abilities, so a lot of my DnD guys have these stupid abilities lmao.
King's ability was that they could paint anything into existence. Similar to Michal, lol. Not really much to say about the design. I don't know why I wanted to relate Michal and King, the campaigns were not related themselves, but I found it novel for my DnD characters to be family, so they're cousins.
I can't remember exactly but I think this guy's name was genuinely Guy? That might not be the case, but I'll believe it now. Anyway, this isn't technically a DnD character I used (seeing as he has no portrait) but was one I developed for a friend who was considering DMing but never got around to it. He is Michal's father and King's uncle. He also has a weird Amygdala looking thing on his shoulder (name: Amy) that functions in place of his missing arm. I had finished Bloodborne the year I designed this guy and decided to be unapologetic about reference. The other guy was going to have story involvement.
You may notice there are 2 people in this section... There is reason there.. basically the top guy is for sure named Guy, and he has two consciousness chips implanted in him, one of which is the guy below, Downstait. The reason he was made that way was because when this new campaign started, a friend and I both weren't sure about our availability and decided to make a shared character, so that if one person wasn't available, the other person could take over Guy and control him without canon issues. It's honestly one of the most creative characters I've made (and it's undoubtedly due to collaboration) but the campaign didn't really pan out, so not much has come of it.. I'm proud of what we made regardless
Final and most recent character, Cameron Payne or Cam Payne. It is a pun and reference to the Payne attorneys from Ace Attorney, which has nothing to do with his actual character. He's a cowboy from prime cowboy era. I actually had to do an accent the whole time during the campaign which was extremely fun and difficult. Hope to use him more...
Well, that's all DnD characters I've made, and also all OCs I've made (with a lot of art at least.. there are more new OCs, but they'll just appear in recent drawings and such). It took me a whole year to complete this archive, but that was more out of getting distracted with other projects than sheer quantity... =(^.^)=
OC* Stuff (Aidil+Neal)
Aidil was covered in this short comic. It's accurate to his current situation and character.
Aidil, brother of Lidia (briefly shown in this post), and his name is her name backwards. I took a bet that Aidil was a real name, and it apparently is lmao. Aidil was initially conceived just as a means to create a character based off of things I liked (90s Shawn Michaels is the prime inspirations for Aidil visually and characterwise).
Aidil is among characters like Fuu or Ivor where I cannot really capture them as I'd like. There's never exact satisfaction with their depictions.
One last OC post... DnD characters.
