Being back in the city after being away for so long felt strange. Everything changed, all the time. It was so unlike Forget-Me-Not Valley, where everything was and stayed more or less the same.
Jill had gotten lost several times in the way to the place she had spent most of her childhood. Once the familiar doors came into sight, the first thing she did was bolt over, checking to see if it was unlocked.
It wasn't. Good thing she still had her keys.
Walking into the house, a twinge of nostalgia hit. She couldn't help but smile to herself a she looked around. Everything looked the same, just like the last time she was around. The all-too-familiar sound of her mom in the kitchen brought a smile to her face as she called out. "Mom? I'm home..."
