we constantly get told not to attend pride unless we’re in a same sex relationship, get degrading comments from both the gay community and straight people, are told we aren’t ‘queer enough’ and that because we can pass as straight we don’t deserve a place in LGBTQ+ spaces.

> It was not hard to notice the wince that Jill gave after Neil mentioned Angelo. It was… odd, but he didn’t bother to question it. Wasn’t his place, and he wasn’t here for idle chatter anyways. He was here on business.

> The blonde nodded and followed Jill in silence until they got to the barn, which wasn’t too far away. He watched as most of the animals came up to her almost instantly. It was a good sign that she took great care of them. He didn’t say a word as she spoke with her animals, he did that sometimes too, but generally when other people weren’t around.

> Neil strode over when she motioned for him to follow. She stood in front of a healthy looking cow. His expression softened, then he held out a hand and patter her snout. She seemed pretty calm. After a moment or two he knelt down and began looking her over carefully.

> Seeing his expression soften helped Jill relax. He seemed happy about her. That was good. There was even a small smile pulling on her lips as he looked her over.

“It’s all here. Medical records, past pregnancies, whatever you need.”

> She was still a little nervous, feeling the fluttering feeling in her stomach as she handed the papers over. Jill took a few deep breaths to keep herself calm. There was no reason to be nervous in the first place.
