the amount of misogyny in kpop is actually crazy. there are such double standards rn in the industry and its so prevalent. people will hate on female idols and then hype up male idols for doing the exact same thing like when garam lit got kicked out lssf for having bullying ALLEGATIONS but hyunjin also had these and stays js claimed it was in the past, or when njz was telling everyone abt how badly they were treated under hybe and nobody believed them as they experienced a severe hate train. w many members of a *certain fandom hating on them and saying the most dehumanizing things ever. you also tend to notice when dating rumors arise female idols will get ten times the backlash the man does just bcs of jealous bg stans who think they seriously have a chance. misogyny is so built into society and you see it everywhere. as a ult bg stan we need to do better this is so unacceptable.

Not so hot take. People who say certain k pop idols "saved" them are parasocial and delusional asf. You can say the music saved you but dawg no idol is doing allat they don't even know you 🤔

i mean i see both sides personally. i get how the music can save them as music is one of the most emotional personal things humans experience and if u find smth that u rlly like it can improve ur life sm. but i do agree its incredibly unhealthy if ur only finding comfort in a certain person that doesnt even know you. this is no hate to anyone who does this !! i just personally believe it doesnt benefit you at all and can end up decreasing ur mental state e.g the whole hee situation w certain possibly exaggerated rumors. my opinion is js to find help from things that actually will aid you instead of people who dont know who you are and can have a completely diff personality outside the screen. like we cannot be putting trust in these men so easily they cld be horrible ppl. this is why it gives me the ick when ppl claim they js 'know' their bias isnt controversial like i love my ult bias w all my heart but i do not believe he is completely pure. at the end of the day we dont know these people and they dont know us.

idols are grown ahh people that can make their own decisions.

they’re not “my baby”. we don’t need to “protect then at all costs.”

they’re literally grown adults and don’t need little 13 yo girls making their decisions for them.

i agree up to a certain point yes i find it incredibly weird to baby idols. like i saw someone reference to finding sunoo sexually attractive and people in the comments were saying "nooo thats my baby" etc etc. like please gtfo hes 22 and is most likely not a virgin. like js bcs hes cute doesnt mean hes some innocent pure being. like dont forget at the end of the day these are still men. though in certain situations when idols are getting mistreated (hint hint) and cannot do anything themselves due to contract regulations fans do have to step in. i feel people do forget the lack of things idols are able to do regarding overwork and mistreatment, as hanni from njz lit said companies view idols as products and not people. Honestly SOME TikTok kpop stans are so stupid cz i remember seeing a video of louis(lngshot) saying some swear word on stage and the caption of the video was like "kpop is so over" and like how is it over js bc a teenager said one swear word??? and there's more examples ofc that's js the 1 i remember rn

tbh, i might get flamed for this hot take but i think its okay for minors to read smut

everyone has hormones, minors too and they get horny just like adults, almost all minors from the age of 12-18 know about those stuff, they make jokes about it, some older teenagers goon. it's fine to read smut if they're not partaking or engaging in those activities, just dont do those when ur under 18

but in cases like dark themes such as incest,SA and other dark stuff, i totally agree with the mdni cuz if we let minors interact with those posts, they could get desensitized and since they keep seeing those they would start to get brainwashed into thinking its okay

the adult authors writing those fics probably read smut on wattpad at 13-15 years too 😭i dont see the need to not let minors read smut, or maybe theres some more reasons to it that im not aware of?

honestly i think most authors are aware that minors read their content and they dont tend to care unless you interact because that can get them into some serious legal trouble if they live in certain countries. i do agree that there isnt a problem w minors reading smut (specifically teenagers) as it is a normal part of going through puberty and exploring the internet but theres an issue w young people coming across dark content and it fucking them up mentally a bit and obvi desensitisation as that can cause them to normalise these behaviours in their head. additionally adult authors might js feel uncomfortable w minors reading their posts especially if its darker content bcs they js arent the target audience and its revealing a vulnerable part of themselves and its simple as that. personally i dont even think people sld be posting abt taboo topics such as incest gore etc as anyone can be desensitised to it at any age and it can have devastating consuequences but thats a whole other thing. i mean at the end of the day minors are still going to read and interact with these things no matter what and no one can really stop them so🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️.
