On the way to pickup JU & P I noticed I was close to this place that was recommended by an Austin police officer/native that I met in Santa Fe. He said he flys here in a small plane just for this Q. For dinner I took a break from #bbqarmageddon to try another local delicacy. Kolaches, craft beer, & a dog friendly back patio? #imyourhuckleberry Never fear, the one in front had jalapeños, cheese, and sausage and I got a brisket & PB&J togo. Had to keep my brisket quota up there somehow! (at Batch - Craft Beer and Kolaches)
The next stop was the ultimate and perhaps the longest BBQ cross town rival. Picking between the two is really like splitting hairs. They were both really excellent and it’s obvious why they have been making BBQ here so long. The sausage was excellent. This was hands down the biggest wood pile I’ve ever seen.
