These Bourbon BBQ Sauce Cheeseburgers are a delicious twist on a classic cheeseburger. The homemade bourbon-infused BBQ sauce adds a rich and smoky flavor that perfectly complements the juicy beef patty and melted cheddar cheese. Serve them up at your next barbecue for a real crowd-pleaser!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup bourbon. 1/2 cup BBQ sauce. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/4 teaspoon onion powder. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Lettuce, tomato, and onion slices optional. Pickles optional.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Form the seasoned beef into 4 patties. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with vegetable oil. Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or longer for your desired doneness. During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and let it melt. While the burgers are cooking, in a small saucepan, combine bourbon and BBQ sauce. Simmer the bourbon BBQ sauce for 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1 minute or until they are lightly browned. Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce, tomato, and onion slices if using on the bottom bun, then add the cheesy burger patty. Drizzle a generous amount of bourbon BBQ sauce over the patty. Top with pickles if desired, and cover with the top bun. Serve the Bourbon BBQ Sauce Cheeseburgers hot with your favorite side dishes.
