Cyborg wandered into the common room in the morning and, as expected, found Nightwing already there, coffee in hand. What was unusual was that his other hand didn't hold any newspapers or the TV remote, but instead scribbled on a notepad with a pencil.
"Morning, Dick," Cyborg said.
"Mm."
"..."
"..."
"Hell, Dick, let me get a word in, at least," Cyborg said. Nightwing finally looked up at him and smirked.
"Morning, Vic. Sorry," he said, taking a swig of his coffee.
"What are you working on that's so... distracting?" Cyborg asked.
"I... am preparing a statement. Or trying to at any rate," Nightwing answered, wearily.
"A statement? About what?" Cyborg asked. Nightwing gave him a sideways look.
"What else but our 'equilateral triangle of greatest affection'?" he said, sitting back and tossing his pencil on the table.
"Really? You're not-"
"No, I'm not calling a press conference," Dick chuckled. "Or even releasing it. I just wanted to have something ready for when they go public," he said.
"You think that's likely? Star and BB, sure, but Raven? No way she wants any attention," Cyborg argued.
"You're right. Raven will want the world to stay out of their business and will go out of her way to keep it out of the public eye, especially while it's still fairly new. Once she feels secure, though, she won't care enough about other people and their opinions to try and hide it," Nightwing said. Cyborg blinked at him.
"You've... really thought about this," he said. Nightwing chuckled.
"Experience. It wouldn't be the first time I've hit a wall like this with Raven. It's admirable, really, but I want to be ready. When they do go public, I want it to be as positive, or at least painless, as possible."
"Well, we got time, right?" Cyborg said, taking a seat himself. "Raven always struggles with change, no matter what she says."
"Probably. Maybe not. There are four people in the world that Raven really trusts, and we're two of them. Raven already felt safe, even before. Now, she probably feels more secure than she ever has before."
RAVEN'S ROOM
"I'm feeling kind of attacked right now," Raven complained. She lay on her bed, her head and shoulders propped up on a pile of pillows, trying to read. Unfortunately, Starfire's head currently her view of the page.
"I only wish to know what your book is about, Raven," Starfire said.
"It's the same one as yesterday," Raven grumbled. "And I told you about it yesterday as well." Starfire laughed and blushed.
"Truthfully, I did not really follow what you were saying," she admitted. Raven blinked slowly.
"What?"
"I am less interested in your book than in hearing you speak about it, Raven," Starfire said with a shrug.
"I... don't follow," Raven said.
"I'm with Kori on this," Beast Boy called out from his seat nearby where he read through his most recent hail of comic books. Raven glanced between them, waiting for an explanation.
"With her on what?" she asked.
"Your voice," Beast Boy said. "It's kinda... y'know." Raven shook her head while Starfire giggled into her hand. "Sexy." he finished, quietly. Raven's confused frown fell away and she glanced between them a few more times.
"Really?" she asked. Starfire, still hovering above her, nodded knowingly.
"Oh yes. When you are speaking quietly to us, especially about something that is important or interesting to you-"
"Oh man, I love that!" Beast Boy added.
"Indeed. Your voice has a rough edge to it, as you have mentioned to me many times over the years, but it changes when you enjoy your subject. There's a warmth to it. A heat. I like it very much," Starfire finished quietly, her weight settling next to Raven on her bed. Both of their faces were flushed now and Starfire moved slowly closer, both to give Raven a chance to decline and to draw out the delicious moment. They kissed. They kissed for some time. Beast Boy sat up and put down his comic book, an excited smile on his lips. Starfire had moved so her weight pressed down on Raven's chest, one hand in Raven's hair and the other on her hip. Finally the kiss broke, and Raven took a shuddering breath while Starfire gently kissed her forehead, her nose, her cheek, her earlobe, before slowly trailing kisses along her jaw as she moved back to her mouth. The hand on Raven's hip squeezed and Raven moaned into Starfire's mouth, who hummed happily back. Beast Boy was leaning forward now, elbows on his knees, very much enjoying the show and wondering if he could get involved without derailing the moment.
Starfire moved her arms to either side of Raven so she could prop herself up with her elbows and drew back with a smile. Raven looked up at her dazed and flushed.
"Beloved," Starfire murmured, grinning now. Raven's eyes snapped wide open. A pool of darkness appeared beneath her and she sank into it, vanishing from sight. Beast Boy was on his feet, staring at the empty spot beneath a concerned-looking Starfire.
"Uh oh," he said. Starfire turned onto her back and covered her face with her hands.
"Oh my foolish mouth has spoiled everything!" she wailed.
"No it hasn't," Beast Boy consoled, taking out his communicator and tapping at the controls. "Raven bolted. She told us at the beginning she would freak out on us sometimes. Honestly, I'm kinds surprised it took this long!" he said, forcing a smile while he tried to reach Raven. Starfire's lament quieted.
"Perhaps you are right... but I still bear responsibility. I called her... I said-"
"I heard what you said, Star," Beast Boy said, wiggling his ears. "She probably wasn't that surprised. Empath, right?"
"Right... but then why did she flee?" Starfire asked. Beast Boy grimaced at his communicator when Raven didn't answer.
"She probably didn't know what to say back, Kori. It happens to all of us, but not all of us can literally nope out of a situation at will," he grumbled. His frown relaxed as his and Starfire's communicators both beeped.
"Raven is alright," Starfire breathed. "She needs some time... oh, I have pushed too far and pushed her away!" she cried. Beast Boy sat on the bed beside her.
"No, Kori, read the whole message! She needs some time to calm herself down before she comes back and she'll see us both soon. She'll be back," he said. Starfire finally smiled.
"Yes. She will be back," she echoed.
"Can't blame her reacting on instinct, I guess," Beast Boy joked. "A kiss like that probably knocked out most of her higher brain functions!" Starfire actually laughed at that, moving so she sat beside him. She drew him into a grateful embrace.
"Oh, Gar, you always say the right thing," she sighed. Beast Boy laughed.
"Okay, that's a lie, but I lo... thank you for saying it," he said. Starfire drew back and looked at him carefully.
"I have something to say to you, Gar. Are you willing to hear it?" she asked. Suddenly and intensely nervous, Beast Boy swallowed and, eventually, nodded. Starfire leaned her head against his. "You are beloved to me also," she whispered to him. He took a a deep, shaky breath and blew it out. When it came to romance, Beast Boy always fell fast and fell hard. It got him into trouble more often than not, and he had learned to temper that impulse, or at least be less obvious. He saw Starfire waiting to see if he would speak but not expecting it. He had known Starfire for a long time. He had been close friends with her for years. He had loved her for years, as her friend, but that wasn't what she waited to hear. She smiled and started to rise. "I will leave Raven's room for now, so she can return sooner if she wishes. Perhaps tomorrow-"
"Kori?" Beast Boy interrupted, his hands gripping Raven's sheets tightly as he stared at the floor.
"Yes, Gar?"
"Kori," he repeated. He looked up at her. "I love you." Starfire's smile lit up the room and she felt her emotions lift her from the floor.
"You do?" she asked, her hands clasped over her heart. Beast Boy chuckled.
"Yeah. You make it pretty easy, actually," he said. Starfire laughed and scooped him up into her arms. He laughed along with her until his mouth was covered by Starfire's own. The kiss was not as heated as the one she had given Raven but there was a new intensity there he tried his best to give back. Eventually, the kiss ended and Starfire gently let Beast Boy back down.
"Come! I am hungry and I would like your help in composing a conciliatory message to Raven. I must let her know she is under no pressure to profess anything in reply to my feelings," Starfire said, already floating down the hall. Beast Boy sighed as he followed on foot, quickly tapping a message of his own, telling Raven her room was empty. Indeed, only moments after he left, Raven emerged from a shadowy portal and quickly moved to lock the door. She walked to the spot on the floor where she preferred to meditate, but her attention wavered and she glanced at the rumpled sheets on her bed. Her face flushed again.
"Perhaps a cold shower as well," she muttered to herself. After she emerged from her bathroom, she saw the light on her communicator blinking. She opened it and saw a new message from Starfire. She hesitated briefly, both frightened and excited to read it. She opened it.
Raven. I apologise for frightening you with what I said earlier. Now that it has been said, however, I will not try and tell you I misspoke or was misunderstood. I will not lie.
I love you, Raven.
Raven's heart pounded as she read those three words over and over, and her mouth curled into a smile. She finally forced herself to read on.
But I must tell you that I do not and will never pressure you into saying anything back to me. Any expression of feelings between the three of us must only come as and when they are ready to be expressed. If you need space, you shall have it. If you need time, you may take it. I will wait. We will both wait for you, Raven, and without a shred of regret.
The message blurred as tears filled Raven's eyes. She half laughed, half sobbed into her hand as she wiped her eyes and read the message again. She was loved. She was loved and it felt amazing. The feeling in her chest swelled and roiled until she almost believed it would burst free, even if she didn't feel able to attach a name to it yet. She read the message again. Starfire's eloquence when it came to her feelings reminded Raven that her control was just as impressive as her own, only of a different sort. She read the message again. Beast Boy must have played a part, there was no way Starfire would speak for him about something so important. She read the message again. Finally, she put down the communicator and began her meditation.
Some time later, she summoned Beast Boy and Starfire, ready to talk. They arrived together, knocking on the door.
"Come in," Raven said, rolling her eyes fondly. She sat on her bed, hands in her lap, and watched as they walked in and stood before her, their posture stiff and rigid. Raven smirked at them. "This isn't a court martial, come sit with me." They both relaxed and sat on either side. Raven offered her hands and they each took one with matching grins.
"Glad you're okay, Rae," Beast Boy said.
"Indeed," Starfire agreed.
"Thanks. I need you guys to just let me talk for a bit, okay?" They nodded. "Okay. You're right, Kori, I'm not ready to name what I feel yet," she said. She scanned Starfire's face for any hint of disappointment or regret, finding only acceptance. "But I want you know hearing what you said, and reading what you wrote, was... it was wonderful. Thank you." Starfire beamed at her, and Raven felt her hands squeeze hers a little tighter. "The other thing we need to talk about is, well... sex."
"Eep!" Beast Boy said. Raven looked at the floor, blood rushing to her face again.
"I know, I know. Kori, the way you kissed me," Raven began, detecting a flicker of uncertainty in Starfire's eyes, worry that she had made another mistake. "I enjoyed it. Very much. But it's another step, one I need to take slowly and carefully." Starfire relaxed again. "I've thought about it and, I want you both to know, it's alright if you, um, if you two want to... I mean, I don't mind if-" Raven stopped when one of Starfire hands alighted on her shoulder.
"You are saying that if we feel ready for sexual intimacy, we needn't wait for you," Starfire said.
"Yes. Right," Raven said, haltingly. Starfire leaned forward and held her right hand out to Beast Boy, holding Raven's in her left. Beast Boy mirrored her, so they held hands in a circle, and he and Starfire smiled warmly at each other, then turned those smiles to Raven.
"I believe I would prefer to wait," Starfire said. Raven blinked in surprise.
"Ditto," Beast Boy said. "Honestly, I'm not sure I'm ready either. I mean, I want to. Oh my god, I want to!" Raven and Starfire both flushed at his open desire. "But I'm actually really liking us taking our time like this, even if it started as something for you, Rae. Makes it feel even more special, you know?"
"Well said, Gar," Starfire said. "And while it is likely that, in future, we may pair off if one of us is unavailable or uninterested, I feel this first time should be something we all share." Raven's mind conjured up brief flashes of future liaisons with Starfire, then with Beast Boy. One look at his face showed his mind had played the same trick on him.
"Very well," Raven said. "We take it slow. It's something I'll have to build up to, for want of a better description. Pushing my boundaries in small ways until I acclimate, then we push a little more. I'll let you know when I'm ready and what I'm ready for." Beast Boy stared with wide eyes.
"You mean you'll tell us where... where we can touch you?" he asked, breathlessly. Raven nodded, blushing again. "That's actually incredibly hot," he said, almost to himself.
"Extremely," Starfire agreed. Raven looked each of them in the eye. her blush deepening.
"I... I think I would like to be kissed," she said quietly, in exactly the same voice that Beast Boy and Starfire had talked so fondly about earlier. "You can touch my arms. And my legs. And my neck." She laughed nervously as Beast Boy actually put his hands together in mock prayer before peeling off his gloves and laying a hand on Raven's thigh. His other hand went around her shoulder and pulled her into a slow but deep kiss. She felt him squeeze gently as Starfire's fingers traced meaningless shapes on the skin of her other thigh. She moaned when Starfire's other hand brushed her hair aside so she could kiss the nape of Raven's neck. Beast Boy pulled back and his hand left her thigh, taking up her hand as he kissed the back of it. He very slowly trailed kisses up her arm and she watched in amused fascination until Starfire gently turned her face and kissed her. Beast Boy didn't pause, working all the way up to her neck and kissing just below her ear. When Starfire drew back and started to pay some attention to Beast Boy, nibbling his ear until he turned to kiss her back, Raven realised she was now laying back on her bed, her boyfriend and girlfriend making out just above her. She stretched up to kiss along Beast Boy's jaw, then Starfire's, before all three of them pulled back to look at each other for a moment.
"Enough for now?" Beast Boy asked, huskily. Raven shook her head.
"Not yet. More," she whispered. Starfire and Beast Boy obliged.
Not long after, the three of them lay on Raven's bed looking up at the ceiling, all of them flushed and smiling.
"I'm sorry I had to stop. Any further and things may have started exploding," she said, only slightly joking.
"Do not apologise for such a glorious experience!" Starfire laughed. "It was joyous."
"Awesome," Beast Boy agreed.
"It was quite wonderful," Raven added. She took up their hands again and looked first at Starfire, then at Beast Boy. "What did I do to deserve the two of you?"
"You saved the world a bunch of times," Beast Boy said. "You must be tanked up with good karma or whatever, right?" Raven only smiled up at her ceiling again.
This took me a while to work out in my head, then even longer to get right in words. Intimacy is fun to write but challenging, I hope I did okay. The idea of Raven's Roadmap to Sex is one I've used before, but I like it in this story as well.
No more arguing about which of your ships with character a is better because both b and c can love them at the same time!
The cuddling intensity has reached an all time high!
Figuring out which of the three gets fawned over by the other two, which one has to police the other two dumbasses, which of them is the most ride or die for the other two?
OT3’s are so goddamn beautiful and I need to see more love for these gorgeous polyam relationships!
Raven invites Starfire to join her and Changeling in their more carnal activities. He's taken by surprise by but comes around anyway. The ministrations of an attention starved Tamaranean will do that to a man. Lemony fresh! Oneshot. Requested by Rider09.
****
Changeling’s on his way to the girl’s shower.
Raven’s called him there for some reason.
Well, he can probably guess the reason.
She and Starfire probably just finished up their sparring session.
Kori doesn’t know the definition of holding back during hand-to-hand and doesn’t really do so, as per Nightwing’s orders.
He’s been serious about improving Raven’s hand-to-hand.
It doesn’t really help that after years of break-ups and make-ups with Kori, Nightwing decided to permanently dump her and date his former (well, now current) flame, Barbra Gordon.
Star’s been really emotional about that lately.
And her usual exuberance during sparring has been amplified by her current state of mind and she’s found her stress relief during sparring.
Not mention Raven’s told him she’s been complaining about a lack of intimate action.
As a result of that Raven’s needed more of Garfield’s ‘services’ to relax her afterwards more frequently.
A changeling’s job is never done.
He reaches the door to girl’s showers and before he can even knock, he’s pulled in rather forcefully.
He’s pushed up to the nearest wall, right underneath a shower nozzle. A pair of strong hands and soft lips begin to explore his body.
Garfield gets his bearings under him and recognizes the nude, tan-orange form and fiery red hair his teammate, Starfire.
“Whoa, whoa Star!” He manages to get out between kisses.
He tries to push the Tamaranean off him, but she merely takes his right hand, places it on her left breast. He squeezes it instinctively, and Kori moans in appreciation. And she places his other hand on her hip.
He squirms more, falling over with the woman in tow trying to get free from Kori, his will to free himself from the ministrations of the Tamaranean decreasing by the second.
She sits up, her voluptuous breasts and dark nipples hardened by the cool air of showers are on full display. Her fire red hair cascading over her shoulders. And the alien vixen managed to position her bare womanhood just above his manhood. He can feel how warm and wet it is through his red and white uniform.
She places her hands on the shower floor, on either side of his head.
Her eyes are locked on to his, almost glowing with lust. In her gaze he can see an almost predatory look to it. In that look he can see that Tamaraneans have truly evolved from a feline-like species.
She goes back to work on his neck, kissing, sucking, biting everywhere she can place her lips or sink her teeth into.
“Star,” says Changeling in between groans of pleasure at Starfire’s actions, “not that I’m not flattered or anything, but I’ve got a girlfriend. What would Raven think if she saw us like this?”
“Ahem…”
He turns his head in the direction of that throating clearing and in his sights is Raven. She’s in nothing but a towel that reaches barley a quarter of the way down her thighs and that barely covers her breasts.
And damn it all, Starfire is still going to town on neck.
“Raven!” He exclaims. He puts his hands on the princess’s hips in an attempt to push her off, but damn that Tamaranean strength. It results in her pushing the changeling back down on by her hips. Her muff pressing into his rapidly swelling third leg, still as wet and hot as was before.
“It’s not what it looks like!”
“Really, Garfield? Cause from where I’m standing, it looks like you have a very naked, very aroused Tamaranean princess on top of you, giving you all kinds of attention. Her hot pussy grinding into you, “ she said, coyness apparent in her purple eyes, “and don’t think I don’t notice that bulge pushing back up into it.”
Garfield looks at his girlfriend in confusion.
In his estimation he should very much be a corpse.
He takes a whiff of the air around him. Besides smell the soap and shampoo of the woman on top him, and the aroma of the arousal of her, he can smell the arousal of Raven.
This fact confuses him.
Her hand dips underneath the towel, “Garfield,” she says, her wrist and hand seemingly stroking herself underneath that towel, “do you remember our discussion a few days ago about the possibility of inviting another person to join us?”
Goddamnit, Starfire’s not letting up in the slightest, thinks Garfield, as Kori works her mouth toward his ear.
Starfire starts to roll her hips on top of him, sending the most delicious sensations through his body just short of what it would actually feel like to be ridden by the Tamaranean. He puts his hands on her hips in an attempt keep her at bay.
It’s not very effective…
“Not that we’d ever cheat on each other, but one name came up between the both of us,” said Raven between long breaths, “do you remember who?”
Kori’s finally made her way to Garfield’s ear, her lips just short of it.
Garfield’s trembling from anticipation as her breath tickles his ear.
She bites down.
“Starfire,” Garfield said breathlessly.
Raven laughs, removing her hand from under the towel. She puts her slickened fingers in her mouth, tasting herself, “Bingo. And thank you for your earlier consideration. I’m cool with it,” she said, throwing her towel away, revealing her curvy, toned form for the occupants of the showers to see. “Kori? Would you do the honors please?”
The addressed woman removes her mouth from Gar’s ear, “With pleasure friend Raven.”
Kori removes herself from Garfield.
Changeling’s pulled up by the scruff of his uniform top.
He once again pushed up against the wall by the Tamaranean.
She takes a fist full of his uniform and in one swift pull…
RIPPP
It’s off.
“Star, there was a zipper.” Said Raven as she approached the other two, clearly amused.
“My apologies friend Raven, I’m merely excited for the indulging of the pleasures of the flesh.”
“One more piece of business before we indulge Kori, the Batman boxers.” Raven said, eyeballing the bulge barely contained by the caped crusader themed underwear.
“No!” Yelled Garfield, taking off the boxers and tossing them where the girls couldn’t reach them, “Tear off my uniform, ok fair enough. But not the Batman drawers. That’s where I draw the line!”
“Shut up you, big baby.” Said Raven, closing the distance between her and Garfield.
She places her hands on his shoulder, while he his find their way around her waist.
Their lips meet.
The kisses between Raven and Garfield were always fervent, heated, passionate. They were always more than satisfying, but they always fell short of completely satisfying their hunger for each other.
A piece of Raven’s soulself flicks the nearby knob, turning the water on of the shower nozzle all three are under, it’s temperature more than adequate.
Part of Garfield’s hair falls into hair due to the water, he brushes it back, breaking the kiss between Raven and him and says, “Really Raven.”
She shrugs her shoulders, the shorter woman running her fingers through his soaked hair. His height shielding her from the onslaught of water. “We’re gonna get dirty, love. I’m just taking steps to make sure we can clean up afterwards.”
Garfield shifts their positions, putting the purple haired beauty under the direct stream of the shower water. Luckily her hair was already matted backwards. But that doesn’t save it from the torrent of hot water. “I hate you, Gar.” She said with smile, as she pushes Gar back into the wall.
“Oh, friend Raven don’t say that. Besides, your love for each other is most obvious.” Says Starfire.
Starfire asserts herself in the mix. She comes up behind Raven grasping both of the half demon’s breasts, taking great care to lightly tease Raven’s nipples. And Starfire starts to kiss, bite and suck on Raven’s neck.
Raven’s would be moans are muffled by her boyfriend’s lips.
Gar runs his tongue over Raven’s lower lip demanding entrance. She obliges, her tongue dueling with his.
Raven works one hand in his hair, tugging him closer or at least attempting to do so. Her other hand works its way down his body, feeling every scar, dip, peak and valley of his physique. She eventually reaches her prize. Hard, warm and thick, just the feel of it excites her further. She pumps it, slowly. Her actions sending jolts of pleasure through his body from his manhood.
She breaks the kiss between her and Gar, still stroking him. Raven leans back against Starfire’s shoulder and the Tamaranean stops her ministrations. Gar takes that as his cue to start working over Raven’s neck.
Starfire and Raven gaze into each other’s eyes, like they’re see each other for the first time.
Lust lidded purple eyes bore into green. Not that there was much distance between the two it to start with, but it closes, Starfire and Raven locking lips. It’s slow, exploratory at first. But then it builds into something fierce. Raven runs her hand through the fiery red locks of the Tamaranean, as they both moan into each other’s mouths.
Having not stopped working it at this time; Raven runs her fingertips along tip of Garfield’s engorged gland, especially making sure to collect the pre-cum she’s worked out him. She feeds each fingertip to Starfire, and then throws her tongue in Starfire’s mouth, trying to steal a taste of the Changeling’s essence for herself with much gusto.
They break their kiss, and both look to Changeling, both them eyeing him like a piece of meat. And Raven goes back to slowly stroking him.
Starfire comes from around Raven, stepping underneath the stream of water from the shower’s nozzle, joining her companions in being completely drenched.
She pushes him back, both her and Raven kneeling in front of the shapeshifter, the two at eye level with his throbbing member.
They’re so close Gar can feel their soft exhales on tip of his knob.
The sensation’s driving the man up the wall.
Raven takes the plunge first, taking him in her mouth, slowly. She takes him as deep as she can before she comes back down, stopping at the head making sure to twirl her tongue around it as she does so.
She doesn’t stop, continuing to spin her tongue about the head.
Starfire gently cups his sack, as she starts to kiss the underside of shaft. Kori eventually works her way up his head.
Raven completely removes herself from the tip, and Starfire takes her place.
Then the most amazing thing (or at least in Gar’s estimation) happens.
Starfire take Raven by the chin, bringing her back to Garfield’s meat-rod.
Two pairs of lips meet at the head, two tongues working either side of it.
The purple and green orbs of the two women look up at him as if to teasing him further.
“Ah, fuck,” said Changeling, as he placed both hands on both women’s heads, encouraging them further.
Eventually, they damn near bring him to climax, but they stop just short.
“Ah, ah , ah Gar, night ain’t over yet.” Said Raven. “Star, it’s all you tonight, would you like a go?” She finished, gesturing to Garfield’s choad.
“Most certainly, friend Raven. But what about you. It seems selfish of me to have Gar to myself.”
“Don’t fret, Kori.” A small portal opens above Raven, and a forest green object falls from it, half-demon catching it. It’s what decent folk would call a ‘marital aid.’ It’s double-ended; one end measuring between 4 or 5 inches. That shorter end curves to the other forming an angle just below 90 degrees. The longer part measures 6 to 7 inches. “While you’re riding Garfield, I’ll be riding you.”
“May I ask why it’s green, friend Raven?” Said Starfire with a knowing smile.
“Call it inspiration from one I hold dear.” Responded Raven, lightly running her fingers underneath Changeling’s chin.
“Shall we get going ladies? This water’s not going to stay warm forever.” Interjects Garfield with a smile as he fruitlessly tries to ring his hair under the constant torrent of the shower’s water.
Garfield remains closest to wall as Starfire closes the distance between them once more. She takes hold of the shapeshifter, arms around his neck. She jumps on to him, her legs wrapping around his body, her stirred womanhood positioned just above his awaiting member. He responds by wrapping his arms around the Tamaranean. Her excitement is at a fevered pitch, her lips split smiling widely, lustfully at Garfield. She takes care to lower herself on to Garfield’s manhood, making sure her slickened body doesn’t slip out of his embrace. “Uh, ah.” She groans, adjusting to Garfield.
Behind them, Raven inserts short end of apparatus into herself, moaning at its intrusion. “Mine’s bigger than yours Gar,” she laughs running her hand up and down the phallic-shaped accessory, as if stroking it.
“Har, har, babe.” Responds Garfield.
Raven runs hand under the water, then brings a finger to Kori’s back entrance. “Relax Star,” says Raven as she slowly, carefully inserting a finger, loosening her up for what’s to come. “There we go, Star.” Says Raven, the muscles of Starfire’s backdoor expanding and contracting to Raven’s intrusion. “Would this be your first time getting, well, you know?”
“No, friend Raven. Dick and I have partaken once or twice in the anal pleasure. It was most enjoyable. But I’d imagine this will blow that experience away.” Said Starfire. She pulls Raven into a brief kiss, then Garfield. “Fuck me, please friends.”
At her request, Raven removes her finger, then pushes the forest green sex toy into Starfire. She strengthens her hold on Garfield, moaning loudly, at not just the insertion at her back door, but also the walls of her womanhood tightening around Gar’s throbbing manhood.
“Fuck, Star,” groans Changeling, “do you need a moment?”
She leans back, putting some of the load of her weight on Raven, “Just one, but please friends, it been awhile, so go slowly.”
Taking that as a que, both Gar and Raven start to thrust into the assorted holes of the Tamaranean princess. As per her request, they go slow following no real rhythm.
Raven and Garfield eventually start to find a rhythm, both trusting in and out at the same time.
It’s an interesting dichotomy for the shapeshifter.
For Garfield, he was used to the more subdued nature in all aspects of Raven, intimacy especially. Whenever he made love to her. She would moan as quietly as possible, hold him tenderly and maybe, just maybe when he hit the right spot and brought her to climax, she would utter his name as she threw her head back in the throes of passion.
In contrast, Starfire’s letting him know, quite loudly even what a good job he and Raven are doing. And she’s isn’t shy about screaming either of their names either. She’d holding to him, tight, although not as tight as he would expect, given her strength. And her legs are wrapped around his waist. Although, not as snuggly as the walls of her slit are wrapped around his shaft because of he and Raven’s thrusts.
“Faster Star?” He asks.
She nods, emphatically, and the chromatically diverse couple comply.
Kori’s legs tighten around his waist, hard enough that he may be nursing some bruising later on.
She then pulls Gar into another kiss, sloppy yet fervent. She then tries to roll her hips as best she could to match their thrusts, so as to create more stimulation.
Raven’s the first exclaim, “I’m coming!” Her climax so much so, her thrusts become erratic.
Starfire follows suit, climaxing, the sensation at her front and back entrances becoming too much. “Rae! Gar! Ahhh!” She screams.
Raven removes her temporary third limb from Kori and removes herself from the fray of Starfire getting piped by Garfield as he reaches his finish.
Changeling’s peak is the next to follow, the further tightening of Starfire’s womanhood doing him in.
“Fuck I’m about to blow!”
“Not inside Changeling!”
Starfire removes herself from Gar, then both women go for his manhood, stroking him to completion.
He explodes on the two, his essence landing on the two goddesses before him, landing here and there. It doesn’t stay on them long as it’s washed away by the running stream of the rapidly cooling water.
Catching his breath, Garfield asks between breaths, “Think there’s enough warm water to actually shower?”
“Only one way to find out,” responds Raven.

Beast Boy woke up even later than usual. He'd been up late and yesterday had been exhausting anyway. He rolled out of bed and let himself flop onto the floor. He mumbled into the carpet, still not really wanting to begin the day, when he remembered what the end of it held. He rose to his knees, a sock stuck to his forehead.
"I have a date with Raven and Starfire," he said to no-one. He then stood and started walking in a tight circle, his hands fidgeting with each other. "Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man. I have a date with Raven and Star. They're going on a date with me. And with each other. Are we all going on two dates? No, that's dumb. I can't do this. I can't do this." Then he stopped, took a deep breath, and turned to point at himself in the mirror.
"You ca-HGHGHKK!" As he'd opened his mouth to speak, the sock, previously resting backward on his hair, flipped forward and fell into his mouth.. He spat the garment out and coughed for a few moments. "Ahem. You can do this. You got this. I'm sure they're just as anxious."
In the common room, Starfire hummed happily. She was rather looking forward to tonight and already planning what she might wear. True, she hadn't asked where they were going but it made sense that she at least consider her options. She did wonder where Raven was at the moment - it was long past the time when she usually woke up, but remembered that yesterday might have taxed her more than an average day. She shrugged and continued her task, which was petting her dear Silkie, while rifling through her wardrobe in her mind. Still... it would be nice to see Raven. She was running late but when she did arrive, no doubt she would desire her tea. Starfire put Silkie down and headed to the kitchen to wait.
In Raven's room, the woman herself sat on her bed (or more precisely, slightly above her bed) in meditation. She had a need of it after last night and suspected she might need a little extra serenity today as well. After another ten minutes, she let her eye crack open when she felt Beast Boy's emotions start to stir as he woke up. Looking at the clock, she saw it was after ten and decided she'd had enough meditation for now and would rather have some breakfast instead. She floated a little higher and let her legs unfold beneath her before drifting forward and alighting silently on the carpet. With a glance, her cloak flew from its peg on the wall and settled around her shoulders. She took another centering breath and made to leave, just as she felt Beast Boy's anxiety spike. She smirked.
"I guess he remembered our plans." She exited her room and made her way to the common room. The door swished open, as usual, and she made a beeline for the kettle, as usual, while Nightwing read the paper and Cyborg surfed the TV channels, as usual. Starfire was already in the kitchen, as usual, and she turned when she heard the doors close behind Raven, as usual, and she looked at Raven. More than most people, Raven appreciated the value of routine, and she had learned to use it almost as moving meditation. Any second now, Starfire would sing out various flowery greetings and Raven would humour her and... and... oh. Starfire was looking at her. She looked at her the way people do when they share a secret but, underneath that, there was an unmistakable longing. Raven knew Starfire had concealed her feelings for Beast Boy and herself and now she was clearly relishing that she could express them in any way, even something as small as a very attentive look across the room.
"You okay, Rae?" Raven turned to Cyborg who had spotted her standing still in the middle of the room. How long had she been there, she wondered, staring back at Starfire, who had now turned away from her.
"Fine. Just... thought I'd forgotten something for a moment," she said. Cyborg shrugged and turned back to the TV as Raven resumed her route to the kitchen. Feeling suddenly bashful, Raven went to pull up her hood as she stood alongside Starfire.
"If it is all the same to you, Raven, might you leave your hood down?" Starfire said, quietly. Raven looked up at her.
"Why?" she asked, her hands still holding her hood. Starfire smiled wider.
"You are very beautiful, Raven. I like seeing you, if you are willing to be seen," she said, lowering her voice. Raven flushed under Starfire's gaze and felt her mouth go dry. She let her hood fall, clearing her throat as she set about brewing some tea. Starfire's smile became slightly sheepish. "I am sorry if I made you at all uncomfortable, Raven," she said, her eyes drawn to Raven's red cheeks.
"No need, Star, it's just that... Beast Boy might be a little put out when he finds out you've been flirting with me before he gets here, especially when you do it so well," she said. Starfire grinned, gratefully accepting a proffered cup for herself.
"Oh, I am sure he will be pleased by my flirting," she said.
"Just don't make him panic, he's nervous enough already," Raven said, her mouth curling up a little. To emphasise the point, the door opened to show Beast Boy clearly in the middle of taking a deep breath before stepping in.
"Hey, guys," he said as he walked in, waving his hand in Nightwing and Cyborg's general direction and they grunted in acknowledgement. "Uh... morning," he said to Raven and Starfire, rather less confidently than he had greeted the others. They smiled at him, and he fidgeted under their gaze. He seemed strangely unwilling to enter the kitchen while Raven and Starfire both stood in it. They looked at each other and silently agreed - they moved to one end of the kitchen but didn't altogether leave, Beast Boy circling around to come in the other way. He poured himself a bowl of cereal while glancing sideways at the two women who continued to watch him as they sipped from their cups. Beast Boy finished preparing his cereal and stood, bowl in hand, visibly hesitating. He looked over toward the TV, where Nightwing and Cyborg sat, then over toward Raven and Starfire. He took another breath then marched to his chosen destination.
"Good morning, Garfield," Raven said between sips. He placed his bowl on the counter beside them and started to eat, smiling at them and at his own behaviour. Starfire looked between them a few times before speaking herself.
"Good morning to you... Gar." Raven and Beast Boy both blinked at her. She shrugged and looked away. "Did I do something strange?"
"Not strange, exactly. Unusual," Raven said. Beast Boy swallowed a mouthful of his cereal.
"You've never called me by my name before," Beast Boy said, wide-eyed. Starfire smiled sheepishly.
"I believe that, after our conversations last night, we might prefer our given names over our codenames," she said. Beast Boy looked to Raven.
"Don't look at me, I only have the one name," she said. Beast Boy looked back at Starfire and his mouth slowly stretched into a wide smile.
"Sure thing... Kori?"he tried. Starfire beamed at him.
"That is entirely acceptable, from either of you," she said. Raven nodded.
"Kori it is. So here we are, Raven, Garfield, and Kori'Andr," she said.
"Yup. Here we are," Beast Boy seconded. Starfire nodded and took a swig of her tea.
"One question I have, though," Raven said, "is what do Raven, Garfield and Kori'Andr tell Dick and Vic?" She jerked her thumb over her shoulder toward their two oblivious comrades. For her part, Starfire didn't particularly relish telling Nightwing that not only was she embarking on a new potentially romantic relationship, but that it was with not one, but two, of their mutual closest friends.
"Nothing," Beast Boy said, interrupting her train of thought. "At least nothing right now. We haven't even had our date yet, I think we're allowed to keep it private." Starfire smiled in secret relief and Raven agreed as well.
"Okay, then. Second question: what are we wearing?"
Between them, they decided on fairly casual civilian clothing, but something smart enough to mark the occasion. They agreed to meet up at about quarter to eight, as Raven had agreed to simply teleport the three of them rather than have everyone fly there. With that decided, the three stood slightly awkwardly as they finished eating and drinking, then carried on with their day as normal. Beast Boy plopped down next to Cyborg and watched TV with him and Nightwing. Raven followed her treasured routine of meditation and reading, expanding her consciousness and her knowledge in turns. Starfire might normally join Raven at this point but decided instead to pamper Silkie this morning. However, each of them, even Raven, found their eyes occasionally drawn to the nearest clock, even with hours left to go.
LATER
Beast Boy admired his reflection in his room, dressed simply in jeans, a blue button-up shirt, sleeves rolled up, that he wore open to show the t-shirt he wore under it. The t-shirt was grey and read 'party animal' in fading letters. He also glanced at his shoes, a pair of immaculate white sneakers, that still sat on his desk. He smiled at himself, satisfied, and checked the time.
It was seven o'clock.
He sat heavily on his bed and held his face in his hands, careful not to disturb his artfully messy hair, and grumbled impatiently.
Starfire twirled in the air, examining her own reflection. She wore a light skirt, dark red but with a white floral design, that came just past mid-thigh on her, as well as a loose, white sleeveless blouse that had small, pale pink flower designs on it. She wore a simple pair of black, heeled ankle boots to complete it and, as she did in everything, looked spectacular. Happy with her outfit, she again fussed over Silkie to pass the time, whispering her hopes for their date to go well.
Raven looked down at herself. She had a smaller wardrobe than most of the others, at least when it came to outdoor clothes (she secretly had an impressive collection of extremely comfortable pyjamas) and so hoped her choice was acceptable, as she didn't have many other options. She wore grey, high-waisted jeans and a blue crop top that ended barely an inch above her waistband. Over that she wore a long, thin black cardigan with sleeves slightly to long for her, her fingertips only just poking out when she held her arms at her side. After a great deal of procrastination, she elected to wear lipstick - black, naturally - and sat on her bed to don a pair of grey fuzzy socks (her comfy sock collection rivalled her pyjama collection) and a pair of heavy black boots. She glanced at her clock, it read twenty minutes to eight.
She realised with a start that they had forgotten to say where they would meet before heading out, but it was quickly taken out of her hands when she heard a rapid, excited knock on her door. She opened it and saw Starfire, hovering some inches from the floor and beaming down at her.
"Hello Raven, are you ready?" she sang. Raven looked her up and down - she looked amazing, as she always did. With their mutual attraction now in the open, she allowed her eyes to drift down for a moment, admiring Starfire's legs unadorned with her thigh-high boots. When she returned her gaze to her face, she found that Starfire's own eyes lingered on the skin that showed between her jeans and her top. When they met Raven's, there was a knowing look in them - she had caught Raven's admiration and so hadn't hidden her own. Raven felt her face heat up as Starfire touched down on the floor. She cleared her throat.
"Well... ready as I'll ever be, I think. Have you seen Garf-?" she started.
"HOLY GUACAMOLE!"
"Never mind." Sure enough, Beast Boy stood some distance down the corridor, staring at the two women. Starfire tittered at his wide eyes and open mouth.
"I... am under-dressed," he said, looking down at himself. Just as he seemed ready to turn back to his room, Raven called after him.
"Garfield, you look fine," she said. He paused but didn't seem particularly encouraged by that. "Actually, you um... you look really nice," she tried again, glancing away and fidgeting. Beast Boy stared again while Starfire sidled up to him.
"Agreed, Raven. I think Beast Boy looks very handsome tonight," she said, taking his right hand in both of her own. Beast Boy turned to face her, a shy smile crossing his flushed face.
"Thank you," he whispered. Raven watched them for a moment before beckoning them inside.
"Come in so I can close the door. Then we can go." They did so and Raven closed her eyes. "Azarath, metreon, zinthos!" Her power flared and they were gone.
Outside Alessandro's Italian Restaurant, the three stepped out of a black vortex - fortunately, there was no-one to be startled by it - and, after a momentary confusion where all three of them tried to open the door for the others, they stepped inside, immediately greeted by the effusive man himself.
"Mr Logan!" he yelled, throwing his arms up as he made his way to them. He wasn't especially tall, only slightly taller then Raven, and had a heavy build - he often joked that he loved to eat almost as much as he loved to cook - and appeared to be middle aged, his mess of black hair speckled with grey. The sleeves of his white shirt were rolled up and he weaved through the tables in a way that was strangely reminiscent of their obstacle course, always with his eyes on them. He reached them and pulled Beast Boy into a bear hug.
"Hey Alessandro," Beast Boy laughed as they slapped each others backs. "How've you been? And I keep telling you, Gar or BB's fine." Alessandro stepped back, his hands on Beast Boy's shoulders.
"I have been well. I have been alive, Mr Logan, thanks to you," he said with a fond smile and a wink. He turned to Raven and Starfire. "Did you know this man is a hero?" he asked while Beast Boy groaned through his smile.
"Yes, of course you do. But I do not simply mean his powers or his costume: he has the courage, the fire of a true hero, right here!" he exclaimed, thumping Beast Boy's chest with one of his heavy hands.
"We know that as well," Raven said. "It's nice to hear that you know it too." Beast Boy flushed again. It was a fact of their profession that they would have a great impact on people's lives in the city, but rarely did they interact with those people later. Aleesandro had found Beast Boy nearby one day, purely by chance, and had all but dragged him back to his small restaurant to show his gratitude. From that, a genuine friendship was born.
"Oh but where are my manners?" Alessandro cried, releasing Beast Boy. "Miss Raven and Miss Starfire, you are great heroes also! My niece is a very big fan," he said. "Please, let me show you to your table."
The restaurant was cosy, the tables close together and not remotely uniform, but it was charming and the smells coming through from the kitchen were divine. They reached their table after passing by a few other patrons, all of whom noticed their famous company, and found it to be clumsily but effectively screened from the rest of the room by a hanging curtain. Alessandro gestured at it.
"I knew you wouldn't want everyone grinning and gawping at you while you eat, my friends. Mr Logan, I have your favourite ravioli made just for you. Miss Starfire, Miss Raven, someone will come by for your order very shortly. Drinks?" They only asked for water for now and Alessandro vanished through the curtain.
"He's interesting," Raven drawled. Beast Boy laughed at her understatement,
"I know, right? Great guy, just a little overbearing when he's excited. Which is always."
"How did you become his friend?" Starfire asked.
"Remember when those runaway Joker goons tried to carve out a piece of Jump City?" he asked.
"The so-called Circus Squad," Raven said with a grimace.
"Right. Alessandro was with his family in the park and almost got in their way. I got there first," he said with a shrug. "He saw me one day and brought me in here to feed me as a thank you. Food was great, so I kept coming back. He really is a great guy. I might need your help to convince him to take money from us for this, I still have to argue with him about it," he laughed.
"Consider it done. I shall make the sad face until he accepts remuneration," Starfire said. Beast Boy shook his head with a smile.
"Aw man, no one can resist that!" he said.
"Not even me," Raven added. Starfire grinned slyly at them both.
"I shall remember that," she purred. With a jolt, Raven and Beast Boy remembered why they were there in the first place, shrinking a little under Starfire's gaze.
"Hi, welcome to Alessandro's can I take your oh shit in a bucket!" A young woman had passed under the curtain to take their orders and had, apparently, not known exactly who she was serving.
"Can you take our what?" Raven asked. The server left without a word. "That was odd." Before Raven could add more, the woman reappeared, smile back in place.
"Sorry about that. I'm here to take your order?" she said. Raven quickly glanced at the menu and Starfire did the same.
"Uh, any recommendations?" Raven asked.
"I might suggest the meatballs, they're always good," the server said, pointing them out on the menu. "Or the pizza. Alessandro does a great calzone."
"Calzone sounds great," Raven said.
"Meatballs sound very nice," Starfire said. The server took note of their order and turned to leave, but stopped mid step. Raven smirked - she thought this might happen.
"I just wanna say, you guys are awesome. Just awesome," she blurted before vanishing again.
"I guess Alessandro couldn't hide us from every fan," Beast Boy chuckled. "She seems nice, though." Raven and Starfire nodded their agreement. Then there was silence. None of them seemed to know what to say.
"Well. It got quiet," Beast Boy said. More nodding and more silence. Raven frowned - this was stupid. They talked all the time, why was it so hard now? She searched her mind for something to say...
"May I ask you something, Gar?" Starfire said. He grinned, glad for the conversation.
"Sure, Kori," he replied.
"What does it feel like when you fly?" she asked. Beast Boy cocked his head.
"But... don't you know how flying feels?" she smiled back at him.
"I know how it feels for me. It feels like freedom and exhilaration and-"
"Yes, unbridled joy. You remember," she said. Raven sighed deeply.
"Kind of hard to forget," she said. Understanding dawned on Beast Boy's face.
"Right, the Puppet King." He shuddered.
"Yes. So... what does it feel like for you?" Starfire asked. again. Beast Boy took a moment.
"Well, when I swap out for an animal, a lot of it is instinct. Hardwired in, you know? Like there's no way me or any human could walk as a spider or something, we'd just trip over ourselves. It's the same as a bird, I just know how, I can feel the air under my wings, and my tail and I fly. I don't consciously turn my tail to steer I just... go one way or the other. I guess when I'm a bird, flying feels like... I feel like I belong up there. The really weird part is that some birds can see UV light - world looks way different through their eyes." Starfire rested her chin on her hand.
"Fascinating," she said. Beast Boy flushed, though he wasn't quite sure why.
"Your turn, Raven," he asked. She blinked for a moment.
"Well, St- Kori already knows this but, essentially I hitch a ride on my soul-self. I project my soul-self in whatever direction I want to go and anchor my physical self to it. It sounds more involved than it it, at least after some practice. It's like driving, it almost becomes instinctive." Beast Boy nodded slowly.
"So cool," he said. Now it was Raven's turn to blush. Not long after, their meals arrived and the conversation flowed much more naturally. Once they were finished and Alessandro had been bullied into taking payment, they lingered at the table, unwilling to see their night end.
"This was... a lot of fun. It was nice," Raven said at last.
"It really was," Beast Boy added. "Also, I know I didn't say it earlier (though I think I gave it away), but you both look amazing. You're just amazing all around, actually," he said, looking vaguely embarrassed.
"Thank you, Gar," they said in unison, which caused a few giggles among the trio.
Shortly after that, they emerged from Raven's power in her bedroom. Starfire turned and gently embraced Raven.
"Goodnight, Raven," she whispered, before turning to Beast Boy and embracing him in the same way. "Goodnight, Gar." She released him and, with a wan smile, she opened the door.
"Goodnight, Kori," Raven said as she left.
"Yeah, 'night Kori," Beast Boy added. They looked at each other. "She didn't ask."
"No, she didn't," Raven said. "I'm guessing she didn't want to chance spoiling tonight for herself. It was a very nice night."
"Yeah... See you in the morning?" he asked.
"You don't want to talk about it? About us and Kori?" Raven asked. He shook his head.
"I think it's pretty obvious what happens next, Rae," he said. She sighed.
"You're right."
The next day, Starfire didn't emerge from her room at all in the morning. She hadn't planned it but just felt safer in there for now... at least until someone knocked.
"Kori?" It was Raven. Starfire took a deep breath. Then another. Then she answered her door.
"Raven," she answered, timidly.
"Gar and I are going to grab some lunch," she said. Starfire nodded, looking at the floor. "Are you coming with? Or shall we bring something back for you?" Starfire looked back up to see Raven, hand outstretched, waiting for her. Carefully, Starfire took the offered hand.
"I would like to be with you," she breathed. Raven smiled and Beast Boy stepped into view, holding out his hand as well. Starfire took it and floated between them as they walked to the elevator, her smile as radiant as her name.
So I guess I haven't updated this for... three years. Oops.
Some days after their date, Raven awoke feeling strange. Lighter than usual. Energised. She brushed her hair in the mirror and pondered.
"Is this... optimism?" she muttered aloud. Huh. It actually was. She had a boyfriend. She had a girlfriend. They seemed to genuinely enjoy spending their time with her. She got up and peeked around her curtains - it appeared to be a lovely day. Maybe she would meditate on the roof this morning. She dressed and exited her room, heading to the elevator, and a thought struck her. Maybe she could invite Starfire to join her? They hadn't meditated together for a long time, after all. With a shy smile, Raven turned around and made for Starfire's room. She arrived and, after a momentary hesitation, knocked.
No answer.
With a frown, Raven shrugged and went on her way. Would Beast Boy be interested? Probably not, but she found herself heading to his room anyway. She found his door was open, and carefully peered into it. He wasn't there. Raven frowned again. Where had they gone? She closed her eyes and reached out with her empathic sense. They weren't in the tower but they were nearby. Above? She stepped into the elevator and headed to the roof. Now that she had found them, their emotions were visible to her as well. They were... very warm. Excited. Thrilled. Happy. The door opened and Raven saw them zipping around, Starfire laughing uproariously as Beast Boy chased her through the air as a swift. As they did a few more laps and then came in to land, Raven's heart was gripped with the feeling she didn't belong there.
"Oh my, that was a lot of the fun!" Starfire cried as Beast Boy's humanoid shape appeared just in front of her. Barely giving him a moment to land properly, she scooped him into a hug and he laughed into her shoulder.
"You're telling me!" he said. Then he saw Raven. "Rae?" She flinched and took a step back.
"I'm sorry," she mumbled, then vanished through the roof. She appeared in her room and looked in her mirror again. Her excitement from earlier had vanished.
"Stupid," she whispered to herself. "Of course they prefer each other to you. They're all starlight and rainbows and you're just-"
*KNOCK KNOCK*
"Raven? Are you alright?" Beast Boy called through the door. Raven ignored him. "I can hear you breathing in there, Rae. Just let us know you're okay," he said. Us. So Starfire was with him. She waited a few moments more and then deflated. She waved her hand and the door opened. Beast Boy and Starfire carefully stepped inside.
"Rae, are you okay?" Beast Boy asked gently. Raven faced away from them
"Fine. I hope I didn't interrupt your fun," she said, sharply, wincing at her herself. Starfire stepped forward.
"Raven, please tell us what is wrong. You are clearly not fine," she said. Raven's shoulders hunched a little.
"You left me behind," Raven said, tightly. "You wanted to have fun so you left me behind."
"Oh shit," Beast Boy groaned. "Rae, we weren't trying to leave you out, we were trying to... well make it easier on you or whatever." Raven finally turned to face him.
"Explain," she commanded, eyes narrowed.
"Well, I know we're kinda hyperactive sometimes and we're maybe a little much for you to handle. So we sorta decided to burn off a little of that energy. Sometimes some of the animals in here get me up at dawn and Star said she'd come with me," he said, pointing at his own head. Raven was filled with relief, but still annoyed.
"You did that for my benefit?" she asked They nodded. "You should have said something. I thought... I thought..."
"You are right, Raven. We should have spoken to you about this," Starfire said, stepping closer and slowly taking hold of Raven's hand - she didn't resist.
"But we were just-" Beast Boy protested.
"We made a decision about our relationship without her, Gar," Starfire interrupted "We should know better." Beast Boy's mouth clamped shut and he blinked.
"Oh man, you're right," he said, running his fingers through his hair. "I'm so sorry, Raven"
"As am I," Starfire added.
"I'm sorry, too. For assuming the worst," Raven said. Starfire smiled broadly at her.
"We shall just have to work harder to assure you, Raven," she said, and held her arms out in invitation. Raven stepped into the embrace, curling her own arms around Starfire's waist and taking a deep breath.
"Thank you, Kori," she said. "Get over here, Gar," she added, and felt Beast Boy's arm around her waist. She looked at him. "You could hear me breathing?"
"Yeah. These thing aren't for decoration, y'now," he joked. With that, whatever tension had been left evaporated. Raven felt... safe. She turned her face up to Starfire.
"Kori. Come closer," she said. Starfire turned her head and leaned lower as if to hear better. One of Raven's hands left Starfire's waist and gently turned it back.
Then Raven kissed her.
Starfire's eyes widened and sparked with green energy, but she quickly closed them again and kissed back. It was soft and brief but both women smiled as it ended. Wordlessly, Raven turned to an astonished Beast Boy and pressed her lips to his as well, just as sweetly as she had with Starfire. He still looked shocked when it ended, though it soon dissolved into a goofy, blushing grin. He felt fingers under his chin, tilting his face up, and Starfire kissed him too, her hand moving to stroke the back of his neck.
"Wow," he breathed. Starfire giggled.
"I second that wow," she said.
"No argument here," Raven agreed. "Just... take me with you, okay? Let me choose to be with you if I want." The other two nodded. Starfire giggled and laughed, shifting her arms around both their waists and slowly lifting them with her into the air.
"I think I could actually get used to this," Beast Boy laughed as they floated in Starfire's arms. Silently, Raven hoped she could do the same.
It had been a few weeks since their first dinner date. A few awkward, clumsy, careful but hugely rewarding weeks. Starfire could almost feel the barriers between the three of them falling away, and she was immensely proud of Raven especially for letting them all grow closer. She remembered when Raven would shrink and flinch at any physical contact whatsoever. Even before they had embarked on a relationship, she had improved but would never be the one to seek out the touch of others. Now, in private at least, she seemed to thrive on it.
But last night, during the Titans' hallowed movie night (a tradition that still endured), Starfire had sat between Raven and Beast Boy. Cyborg and Nightwing hadn't paid it much attention, too focused on the movie itself, but Starfire still felt the need to be overtly ordinary. Until Raven, that is. Stubbornly reading a book instead of watching the movie, she casually shifted her body and leaned against Starfire, who immediately tensed, looking carefully at Cyborg on Raven's other side. She glanced down and saw Raven's uncertainty, then released a deep breath and relaxed into the feeling, smiling down to reassure her girlfriend. Raven settled and resumed reading. Turning to her other side, Starfire very carefully laid her hand on top of Beast Boy's. He looked down at their hands, looked up at Starfire, then looked across at Raven. He smirked, shrugged, and turned his hand so they could interlace their fingers. Starfire returned her attention to the movie, but remained conscious of Raven's shoulder against hers, and her hand in Beast Boy's. When the movie ended, they separated easily before they could be noticed.
The morning after that, Starfire joined Raven on the roof for meditation. Beast Boy joined in his own way, morphing into a cat and laying in the sunlight. When Raven gently alighted back on her feet, Starfire spoke.
"It is time to tell the others," she said with certainty. Beast Boy rolled and stretched and took his human form.
"Oh man... you think so?" he asked. Starfire shook her head.
"I know it is. After last night, it seems clear to me that we are ready for our closeness to be more public," she said. Raven folded her arms.
"I'm not sure I'm ready for people to know something so personal about me," she said.
"I know you worry about the wider reaction to us, Raven-" Starfire began.
"I don't care what they think about me," Raven snapped. Then, more softly: "I care what they might say about the two of you... or to you." Starfire smiled and took Raven's face in her hands, kissing her slowly.
"I understand. But I do not speak of the world or even the city, only our two friends. Our family," she said. Raven lifted her hand to Starfire's.
"You're right, Kori. Let's tell them," she said.
"How we gonna do this?" Beast Boy asked. "United front? Split up?"
"I believe I should speak to Nightwing. Our previous relationship could make this more emotionally complicated," Starfire said, reluctantly.
"I guess I should speak to Cyborg," Beast Boy said. "He's my best friend and I guess I actually wanna tell him all about us," he said with a shrug and a grin.
"What about me?" Raven asked.
"You wanna come with me?" Beast Boy asked. "He might actually believe me if you're there," he joked. Raven thought for a moment, then nodded her agreement.
"Very well. When?" she asked. Beast Boy took a deep breath and exhaled.
"No time like the present: let's rip off this band aid," he said, already flipping out his communicator. He paused for a moment to eye Raven and Starfire - neither moved to stop him - then called Cyborg.
"Go for Cyborg," he said, cheerfully.
"Hey, Cy," Beast Boy said, his voice nervous. "Um... are you alone right now? I kinda need to talk to you." Cyborg's brow knitted.
"You alright?" he asked. Beast Boy smiled.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just personal, y'know?" he said.
"Hmmm. Well, okay. I'm in the common room right now and Nightwing headed to the gym about 20 minutes ago," he said. Beast Boy glanced up at Starfire and she headed back indoors.
"That'll give us plenty of time. That dude needs to chill," Beast Boy joked.
"No doubt. See ya soon, B." The line went dead. Beast Boy took another deep breath
"Ready?" he asked Raven.
"I have no idea. Let's go," she said, then headed for the door.
THE COMMON ROOM
Cyborg shut off the TV. He hadn't been able to concentrate since Beast Boy's call. Fortunately he didn't have to suffer long as the door opened in short order and Beast Boy stepped through. But not alone.
"Hey, B. Hello, Raven," he said, drawing her name out. Suddenly he grinned and jumped up from his seat. "Wait! You finally asked her out? You guys are together?" he enthused. Beast Boy chuckled bashfully. "Yeah! I called it. I want that on record," he crowed.
"Wait, Cy!" Beast Boy laughed. "Yes, Rae and I are together, but there's more to it." Cyborg looked curiously at him, then his hands covered his mouth and he looked worriedly at Raven.
"Please tell me you aren't pregnant," he pleaded. Raven's face flushed bright red.
"No, I am not pregnant!" she exclaimed. "We haven't even... we aren't-"
"LALALALALALALAAAA NOT LISTENING!" Cyborg shouted, his fingers in his ears. "I regret asking so please stop answering," he whimpered. He saw that Raven had stopped speaking and unplugged his ears. Beast Boy, sporting an impressive blush of his own, cleared his throat and tried to salvage the conversation.
"Cy. Have you heard of polyamory?" he asked carefully. Cyborg snorted.
"Half my brain is basically a search engine. Yeah, I've heard of it," he answered. Beast Boy didn't say anything more, just raised his eyebrows. "Wait. You mean you, and you, and someone else?" he asked. Beast Boy nodded, as did Raven. "Just one more someone?"
"Just one, yeah," Beast Boy confirmed. "Kori." Cyborg's eyes nearly shot out of his skull. Then they narrowed.
"You're definitely not pranking me here, BB?" he asked, suspiciously. Raven watched as Beast Boy made a compicated salute of some kind.
"Nope. Cosmoknight's pledge," he said. He turned to Raven for a moment. "It's from a game we play, we-"
"Galactic Chivalry," she said, distractedly. He and Cyborg both stared at her. "What? I'm here often enough when you play and the story actually seems compelling, once you get past the ridiculous flashes and explosions," she added, mildly defensive.
"Wow... okay. Okay, remember this because I'm gonna have to kiss you for it later," he said. Raven blushed again but didn't complain. "But yes, it's from our game and we use the pledge when we're totally serious about something." Cyborg walked back to the couch and slowly sat back down.
"Man. So that was a lot. You told Nightwing yet?" he asked.
"Kori's talking to him right now," Raven said. Beast Boy stepped toward her and asked quietly.
"Can you tell if she's okay?" he asked. Raven's eyes glowed white as she expanded her senses.
THE GYM
Nightwing leapt and ran and swung around the cavernous gym in full costume - it was good to practice in full gear when possible. When he stopped and took a water break, someone called out to him.
"Dick?" It was Starfire. "May I speak with you?" He sat on a bench and took another swig from his water bottle.
"Sure, Star. Everything alright?" he asked. She smiled.
"Yes. More than alright, in fact. Still, this might be difficult to say... and to hear," she said. His expression grew serious and he capped his bottle, setting it down on the floor. Then he waited.
"I am..." she took a breath and shook herself. "I have entered into a new relationship," she finally said. Nighwing's eyebrows lifted.
"Oh. Okay," he said. It had been two years since they broke up. He had even started something with Batgirl some months ago: long distance right now but they were making it work. But for some reason, Starfire was right: this had been difficult to hear.
"You sound displeased," Starfire said. Nightwing cleared his throat.
"No, it isn't that. Just surprised is all. I hadn't realised there was, uh, anyone on the horizon, so to speak. Anyone I know?" he joked, unconvincingly. Starfire actually smirked at that.
"Yes," she said. "Garfield." Nightwing's mouth hung open a little - he had been sure Beast Boy had eyes for nobody but Raven recently. So much for his detective skills. "And Raven." Nightwing's train of thought hit a brick wall.
"Wait, sorry, I thought you said you were dating Beast Boy and Raven..." he said.
"That is correct," she said. Nightwing dragged his hand across his brow.
"Do they know you're dating both of them?" he asked. Starfire chuckled this time - she was enjoying this!
"Most definitely, as they are also dating each other," Nightwing's jaw almost hit the floor.
"All three of you?" he asked, his voice rising in pitch.
"That is right. You have heard of the polyamorous relationship, yes?" she asked.
"Sure, sure. I just never actually met anyone who was part of one before. How does it even work? How did it happen? Are you-"
"Dick," Starfire interrupted, politely but firmly. "I did not come here to ask permission or to be interrogated. I came to tell you about us because of our history together and because we are friends." Nightwing closed his mouth and felt his face heat up with embarrassment.
"Sorry, Star," he muttered.
"I accept your apology. We decided to tell you and Cyborg because we no longer wish to maintain secrecy at our own detriment, and you will likely see us express our affection more as time passes, but it is still new and personal to us," she said, before leaning closer to fix him with an amused but compelling look. "So do not try to interrogate my boyfriend or girlfriend either." Nightwing smiled after a moment.
"Understood," he said. Seemingly satisfied, Starfire left without another word. Nightwing let himself roll off the bench onto the mat. His workout would have to wait - he was exhausted!
Starfire exited the gym and found Beast Boy and Raven waiting for her. She smiled at them.
"It is alright. It was not easy but it is alright. I am alright," she assured them.
"That's good," Beast Boy said. "Because if it hadn't, it's normally the guy's job to offer to get inappropriately violent but I don't know how that works for us," he joked. Starfire wrapped her arm around his with a laugh.
"Thank you, Gar, but perhaps Raven could provide that service. I do feel that in our relationship, Raven does the wearing of the pants," she laughed. Raven rolled her eyes at the outdated turn of phrase, then held her arms out, holding back her cloak.
"Ironic, really," she said, stretching out one bare leg. "Because I demonstrably don't." Starfire laughed again, but there was a different note.
"Oh, of this we are very much aware, Raven," she said, a weight in her voice and heat in her eyes. Beast Boy blushed as well, but he smiled. Raven cleared her throat, suddenly in need of a little closeness.
"Didn't you say you owed me something?" she asked Beast Boy. With a wide grin, he stepped forward and pulled her into a long but still relatively chaste kiss. Starfire watched with a heartfelt but perplexed smile. The kiss ended and Beast Boy took both women by the hand, leading them back to the common room.
"You guys hungry? I'm kinda hungry," he said. They shrugged and nodded wth differing enthusiasm. "Cool. Kori, you aren't gonna believe what Raven said. She's a closet gamer!"
"Uhhhhhh," she grumbled. "I am so breaking up with you," she said, even as her hand squeezed his.
This one was fun, especially writing Cyborg's reaction. It feels good to want to write again.
