He is the adopted son of Garfield Logan and Raven. He developed magical reality warping abilities at a very young age and accidentally killed his parents during a meltdown when he was only three. After spending most of his life as a street kid on the run from the DEO, he eventually destroys part of downtown Harlem.. this will signal the titans into a full on investigation into this individual. Being completely alone, with powers that are dangerous to himself and others, he spends his days hiding in an abandoned warehouse and talking to his imaginary friends.Eventually, he crosses paths with Gar and Raven, who take him in and become his new family. Despite not being their biological child, everyone assumes Gar and Raven had secretly been raising a kid behind everyone's backs.

Old Beast Boy Art Redraw Sneak Peak!

I’m like 3 1/2 hours into the redraw and I’m not even close to being done, but fear not the Garfield Logan fans shall have decent quality angsty fanart soon! Seriously it’s so rare to find art that acknowledges the more tragic parts of his character. I like my idea “DC RED stuff and acknowledging medical trauma” that I had last year a lot, but I feel like I didn’t execute it well. I will also be adding other references to his character in the newer attempt.

not me going back to reread beast boy's origin in doom patrol 1964 because i can't believe the titans: beast world recap of his origin had just a few panels of the doom patrol and the rest is just him with the teen titans?? because the doom patrol is not just his first appearance, they are his origin and his first team, elasti-girl was his adoptive mother, he was desperate to join them even after meeting the teen titans, he wears the doom patrol uniform

Maybe because I’m not as invested in Gar, I think this one falls a bit flat. I mean, obviously it’s distressing but it’s “Oh, you’re a monster and you’ll kill everyone you love.”
