I’ve been waylaid by work, illness, and general sociopolitical exhaustion these past few weeks, but with happier things on the horizon and a few major projects finally in my rear-view we can relax and take some cute photos. Finally.

The last baby from Brian and Chips’ clutch BC20 is a total sweetie.

Brian and Chips’ babies look very different since they shed. Brian’s a high-contrast Reverse Okeetee and Chips is an Amel Motley/Stripe. Could these little babies perhaps qualify as Candycane Amels?

Another comparison, this time two Amels.

BC20 on the left versus HO20 on the right. They’re both Amelanastic, but each has been selectively bred to amplify different color traits.

...and I’m still thinking that Hatshepsut might be passing Red Factor on to her babies.

Brian and Chips’ little ones for this season are all out and documented. While Amel is just a single gene morph and these little ones aren’t, like, genetically special, they’re already displaying a lot of the gentle curiosity and vigor for which Brian’s children last year were remarkable.
