Tonight, we had our last call with Help Me Grow, an amazing FREE resource here in Ohio. If you have any questions about development, please contact them. Our therapist was such a lifesaver. She helped us figure out what developmental issues our son has and how to help him. She was with us every step of the way and encouraged us to keep going. I truly don't know how we would have dealt with everything without her, especially since Cincinnati Children's is very difficult to get into in a timely manner in a "normal" year and wasn't taking any new patients for awhile last year. . . If you're reading this and not in Ohio, there are programs throughout the country for young children but they usually end around age 3. It may be called "Help Me Grow" or "Act Early" or "Early Intervention" or something else but it is worthwhile to see what your state offers.
