peter murphy is a 26 year old heterosexual cismale that was born on july 29th. he live(s) in manhattan, but they’re originally from louisville, kentucky. they are a/an ballet dancer for a living, and often get told they look like chris wood. we wish them the best of luck in the city that never sleeps!
Peter is not a wimp.
He’s just as manly as any other guy and he’ll be the first to prove it. He’s got a chip on his shoulder and something to prove so it’s no wonder that he’s found getting kicked out of bars for fighting almost as often as he’s found under bright stage lights at Koch theater.
He was born in Louisville, Kentucky where his mom owned a competitive dance studio. He had never met his father so he spent most of his time at the studio.
At first he just watched his mother and his older sister but soon he joined in classes, taking ballet, jazz, and tap classes alongside his sister.
It wasn’t long after this that he discovered the the loved dancing. It made him feel seen and expressed and self-actualized in a way he hadn’t known to be possible.
After winning a few competitions and working through all seven grades of Cecchetti he was recruited to join the New York City Ballet Academy.
At the age of fifteen he moved to New York and has been dancing there ever since.
He’s currently cast as the Nutcracker prince and just came off of a run of Romeo and Juliet, where he danced as Romeo.
All in all he’s a sensitive guy with a bit of an inferiority complex that only really goes away when he’s on stage. Plot with me.
