And then I realize that this isn't strictly necessary, go back and delete that whole passage

I dig my fingers into Angel's Plot, Angel's Narrative, the letters that make him up like ones and zeros.

He was a dog, but now he's not. That's all that matters

I briefly consider wrapping my decree in quotation marks in order to scream it to the world but the deed is done and this is running long.

Jack's arrival is less than stunning. Face a mess of smeared makeup and half dried tears that somehow still manages to make him look good.

Like some furious, long earred doppelganger of Harley Quinn one sexiest joke away from a goddamn murder spree.

There's a cigarette clenched between his teeth, unlit and gnawed half to death. The faint nicotine buzz seeping into his lips and tongue isn't as calming as he'd like but it'll do, for now anyway.

The sword at his hip looks gnarly, and gives off a feeling like... like being hunted by something bigger than you, something terrible and hungry, with only one thing on its vast and terrible mind.

Vengeance.

Jack looks around for Angel, the wet, foil wrapped mess of his hair leaving technicolor streaks on the back of his neck.
