      one could say the CORE FOUR had more or less spent their time apart that day -- and before he had somewhat solidified his friendship with them, he wouldn’t have bothered when he saw Veronica upset; although, now ? He cared.

“Will you just GO AWAY?” Lydia all but shouted, tissues desperately trying to wipe away the tears and stop her makeup from smudging. “I don’t need you feeling sorry for me or you telling the whole school you found me crying. I don’t need anyone.” So perhaps snapping at Veronica wasn’t called for but it was partially her fault, wasn’t it? One of the people that had torn everything apart even though it had been Chuck’s fault to begin with. “Just leave me alone!”
