He didn’t expect the ruckus from his staff OR to hear them yell about Tomura being in the Casino- let alone hearing or seeing the leader of the League in his Casino (but he should have expected it, he did say if they needed a place to lay low or hide he’d let them.) caused his stomach to drop almost instantly, pushing his fear back out of his mind- Zachariah managed to make his feet work and get across the floor to the other, keeping quiet the entire time until he got to his old friend.
No grand gestures, no notions of a nickname- it was a bishop coming to aide his king when he needed it.
“You all have work to do, I don’t pay you to harass my clients no matter who they are- back to work.” Zach snapped, even as he guided Tomura to his office, his voice quieting down a little, lowering to talk to the other as they crossed the floor again- a protective arm around his shoulder.
“you look like hell, Tomura, what happened?”

the ripped staples in his cheek makes his head spin but he tries to hold any pained noises that want to leave him, especially with shigaraki standing not that far from him. there is blood that is dripping down his chin, and he glances over at him.
