It's week three of strike for the BCGEU. Here are some fun things me and my colleagues have experienced picketing outside the museum:
- Random people calling us racist and homophobic slurs
- Being charged at (twice) by a garbage truck
- Two assaults from members of the public
- Garbage thrown at us
... and last night someone let lose a can of what we think was bear spray upwind of us!
Still on strike btw
Don't remember if I posted this today or not. Strike day 3 done and it sounds like we are in for a long haul
We strikin'
End of BCGEU strike week 8 and today there was a Linkin Park/Limp Bizkit cover band performing next to an inflatable rat on the Royal BC Museum picket line
