Just a few of my favourite signs from the BCGEU strike
We strikin'
End of BCGEU strike week 8 and today there was a Linkin Park/Limp Bizkit cover band performing next to an inflatable rat on the Royal BC Museum picket line
(This is a continued thought from the last anonymous question)
I've been cooking hot meals on a camp stove for two of the picket shifts a week because the amount of food available on the line is GENUINELY tied to morale. The weather is starting to get cooler, so I think having hot meals available will grow increasingly important.
I'm sort of thinking out loud, but maybe I'll put out a call for $5 donations to go toward buying pizza or groceries that I can cook on the line. I've been able to cook for two shifts worth of people for about $50.
But I'll see how I'm feeling burnout wise next week.
