hey y'all i've been looking through the library for a bit and i couldn't find the fic that i apparently forgot to bookmark, i've been looking all day :// it's a post-tws fic that's bucky's POV and very introspective. i remember it being very long and it goes through the process of bucky's mind deprogramming from "the asset" to bucky again (well somewhat) it never switches POV & v heavy on bucky's internal monologue? if you could help that'd be great! thanks so much!!

first headcanon that pops into my head: gansey likes to walk through rooms and join conversations as he’s passing through even when he has no idea what they were about because he wasn’t there for the beginning of them. he’s just like constantly showing up mid-sentence and saying something totally off-topic and then looking around at the dead silence and being like “wait is that not what we were talking ab- you know what i’m gonna go”

it’s like. not even that far fetched. think about gansey/ronan like the ganseys taking ronan in after niall died. he spends summers there they call him their son and he hates it he breaks stuff. they share a room even though there’s probably an extra for ronan to stay in. gansey introduces ronan to people as his brother. at night they practice kissing in their matching boxers because the ganseys just like. provide that shit for them. helen finds out and laughs directly into her champagne and also in dick trois’ face. ronan makes a joke about gansey’s mom trying to fill out adoption papers and gansey knows he’s deadly serious about that never happening and anyway then he’d be fucking his brother and helen would Disown him

!!!!!!!!!! mentor derek! my fav! but omg yeah stiles being wary but they finally end their standoff when stiles is being his usual over suspicious self and is like 'idk scott i don't trust lord theo' and scott's ofc defensive of theo like 'ur just overreacting' but derek chimes in 'u know i think stiles is right abt him' and stiles just looks @ him like ok we can call a truce bc we're on team always protect scott! & ofc u gotta think abt derek almost dying 4 scott in battle :')))) so good

LORD THEO YES lord theo used to be scott and stiles’ childhood friend from a neighboring county who shows up one day like “let me help u scott“ and scott wants to see the good in everyone. but no one’s honestly surprised when they realize theo is trying to pit scott’s inner circle against each other and he gets banned from the castle, and derek and stiles have the briefest moment of understanding about who they are as ppl and then it’s dead and they go back to mutual dislike, scott hates it.

and oh no!!! (yes) someone tries to wage war on scott’s kingdom and it’s almost funny bc they have such a small following, maybe it’s peter, and derek takes it personally and sees to it he’s at the front lines to fight for the mccalls and it all should have been fine, except for the part where derek gets a knife jammed between his ribs through a weak spot in his armor, and he almost bleeds out. imagine if scott was there though? at the campsite where the soldiers and knights were stationed near the battlefield to go over plans. scott hates fighting and he tries to avoid it but he’ll always join them because as if he wouldn’t put himself on the line when everyone else is too, and he turns just in time to watch derek get gutted ha ha ! they manage to drag derek to safety but he’s so pale, eyes are half lidded, and scott and boyd are covered in his blood and it’s so scary.

derek ends up being fine in the end, he’s a drama queen at best, he’s just left with a silver scar but that’s also the night scott realized just how important derek was to him, when he held his shaking hand and told him he’d be fine and derek went “it’s okay, it’s fine scott” in a way that kind of sounded like an acceptance to death, how that probably wouldn’t be the last time derek would be willing to die for scott and how much that terrified him!!! derek isn’t allowed to practice or battle while he’s healing so he spends a lot of time in normal clothing around scott, which is unusual, he typically has some sort of plating on and it’s so weird to see him looking soft and vulnerable in worn clothes and it makes scott’s stomach jump
