How did they transport long logs down from the mountains in the good ol' days? Not very easily, to say the least!
This photo appeared in the Nov. 6, 1968 issue of the Campbell River. Courier newspaper with the following caption: Logs from Campbell River on Vancouver Island, BC, heading for Osaka, Japan as part of British Columbia Pavilion at 1970 Exposition. Logs were taller than an eight story building (80-105 feet). They were cut by MacMillan Bloedel Ltd. Copper Canyon Division.
