The term #slowliving resonates with me and my family right now as we move on to the 2nd year in this pandemic. We all felt displaced somehow in the mad rush of quarantines, swab tests, and keeping our sanity. Working from home felt like a novelty at first but it's tipping the scale of our work-life balance lately. My husband and I are always in-between meetings, toddler meltdowns, and grocery runs. On top of that, we're both taking classes at night and on weekends. It's draining the life out of me. Of all of us. So we decided to take it slow and slower. We want to reclaim our Home as a place where we can rest and recharge. I always remember my late French boss who was fond of saying "you don't shit where you eat". To his point, we all need to compartmentalize our lives. So I stopped working in the bedroom. We designated areas for work, play, hobby, exercise, and so on. We take leisurely walks at night with our daughter Harper and dog Munchkin. We count our breaths when we meditate. We even created a little coffee nook for when we're feeling fancy. "Taking it slow" was never about physical motion. It was all about the mindset to stop and smell the flowers along the way in this uncertain journey we are all in. ❤️ #slowlivingPH #workfromhome #Homeffice #BcoffeeCo #coffeePH #coffeetime #coffee #beyourownbarista (at Cebu City) https://www.instagram.com/p/CQuLSQAAzyQ/?utm_medium=tumblr
