BLOODY DAYS IS ON TEMPORARY HIATUS.

Hi everyone. First of all, I want to take this moment to express how truly wonderful it is to have you all here with us. We've had an amazing almost-four month run here at Bloody Days, and it wouldn't have been possible with such inspiring, incredible members... which makes this announcement all the more poignant to share. As an admin team, we've decided to put BD on a temporary hiatus, until we can dedicate the time you all deserve to opening up a new chapter in our history. Hopefully, a hiatus will allow us all to regroup and come back stronger than (a 90s trend) ever; we also hope that it will give everyone time to refresh and reinvigorate their muses and return to the dash with our previous levels of gusto and activity. Please know this is not the end for Bloody Days; we have a lot set in store that we cannot wait to unleash in the coming weeks. We hope that this hiatus will last no more than 1-2 months, but rest assured we can all continue chatting in this server to that end. In the meantime, you are welcome to continue writing on the dash, in private servers, and persist in infusing the Discord with your wonderfulness; just know that some of what you plan in the interim might not be considered officially cannon when we return! Until then... we love you all, and thank you for everything! And lastly, thank you to my wonderful co-admins, Velvet and Juno, who were more help than a girl could ever ask for.

congratulations, members! you've survived our two-part plot drop saga, and we couldn't be more thrilled at the schemes, threads, and relationships you were all able to forge in the midst of our overarching plot! once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the enthusiasm you continuously show our work as admins; we so appreciate it and cannot wait to unveil the next plot drop (which will be, in my opinion, even more exciting than the last ... but watch your back). for now, here is a brief recap of our most recent event:

the king's dover entourage is now safely returned to hampton court; all courtiers are once again together. queen mary and her entourage are lodged in apartments previously belonging to jane seymour, in close proximity to the king's. (having fallen into disuse and disrepair, the king's carpenters made stealthy improvements to the suite in the weeks prior to mary's arrival, ensuring that they are befitting of royalty, with engravings in the ceiling commemorating the anglo-spanish summit carved by court artist hans holbein. one particularly trained eye, however, might notice that jane's emblem – a phoenix – has gone unnoticed by the king's henchmen, and remains above one of the hearths...)

*sprinkling just a touch of roleplay magic* our florentine retinue has also returned from their travels abroad. as per what was agreed upon in the very super secret and highly classified espionage discord chat, our spies determined that the boy being hosted by the de medici family is, in fact, edward seymour. however, in order to placate his majesty the king, the group decided to lie to william and ensure him that the boy is merely another pretender to the throne, and of middling threat to the english realm. this, of course, is not public knowledge. the court, however, readily celebrates the news that another dynastic crisis has been averted.

to mark the end of our plot drop, the court has put on a spanish-themed banquet to toast not only mary's safe arrival, but the news from florence, complete with iberian foods, delicacies, dancing, music, and pageantry. que comience la fiesta!

without further ado, you may return to your regularly scheduled tudor programming. we hope these recent developments have been as exciting for you all as they have been for us!

hello all!! exciting development: we have new muses!! before we unleash them, for your sake – and ours – we wanted to comb through a bit of the new meta we're introducing, because we understand it can be a lot to swallow at once.

firstly, along with a smattering of 'floating' muses, we are introducing three brand new families: the irish butler family, the cromwells, and another established court dynasty, the snakenborg-radcylffes. the butlers are strictly newcomers, bequeathed by the king what some would claim to be a marriage beyond their station. the snakenborg-radcylffes are a blended family, loosely based on the life of helena snakenborg, a favourite of elizabeth i. and the cromwells are, of course, recently returned to court after the downfall of thomas cromwell (whose rise & banishment you can read more about on our 'meta' pages!)

what else are we introducing? plenty! we've expanded on the french royal court, the spanish royal family, brought in a few clevians to stir the protestant pot, a handful of ladies-in-waiting and distinguished officers of state, william shakespeare 😉, a brand new lord privy seal, and, as you guys might have been anticipating ... a contested successor to the disgraced elizabeth talbot's fortune. oh, and edward seymour's wet-nurse, who may yet go to the grave with the missing prince's whereabouts ... but that wouldn't interest you, would it? this is just the tip of the iceberg, and we can't wait for you all to see what else we have in store!

we'll be working closely with our lovely xan to map out an updated family tree for our new muses, so keep your eyes peeled for that! we will be uploading the new families to our google doc in just a few minutes, and hope you love our new babies as much as we do! &lt;3
