So I was just talking to a couple of friends the other day about how since I turned 15 or so I have ALWAYS cried on my birthday. Whether it’s bc I’m sad or scared or upset about where my life is or what the future holds, I always cry sad tears at some point in the day. I’ve kind of been waiting for the floodgates to open all day today because, for no real reason, I have truly been very anxious about turning 22 and what this year could have in store for me. So flashforward to like 5 minutes ago, I’m sitting in my car after work and I open up this message and start absolutely sobbing. But for the first time in like 7 or so birthdays(give it take a few), it’s not bc I’m sad or stressed or scared, it’s bc of how genuinely loved and happy I feel today:’) A HUGE part of that is because of the outpouring of love I’ve gotten from the sweet people I know on here. So to everyone who sent me a sweet little happy birthday message: I truly cannot thank you enough or even begin to articulate how much they all mean to me. I’m so grateful for the beautiful group of humans I get to know through this website:’) xoxoxoxo to you all, every day, forever and ever
