It’s All About the Money, Money, Money | At Go
Sheila was still settling in, but she thought it was the perfect time to get to know the town better. Get to know it and see if there were any viable options from which to steal. Anything near the University was a bust. She knew enough about college students to know that they were typically broke as fuck, and the places they visited were cheaper than dirt. So she ruled out Chippamunka, Pizza Planet, and the Looking Glass in favor of the businesses on Main Street.
A private Eye? She immediately got her distance from that one, moving past that business, a hotel, a record store. Sheila briefly paused. It might be worth it to steal something in there if any of the records were valued pricey enough. That was something she would have to research a bit. See if she could get away with selling something for higher than some town shop would. The nightclub and the tattoo parlor weren’t tempting either, or any of the other five businesses she passed on her search throughout town.
And then she spotted it. “Whosits and Whatsits Antiques and Trinket Shoppe.” It was a horribly wordy name, and rather ridiculous as a whole, but it was something. Antiques could be priced at insane prices, if the store owner had any sense anyway. But she didn’t get that feeling about them, considering what they chose to name their store. Sheila shook her head in disapproval, but she made her way in anyway.
A few items were rather dull, but there was some jewelry that immediately caught her eye. That could definitely fetch a nice sum. Still, she didn’t want her focus there to be obvious. The less reason she gave for anyone to suspect her, the better. So she looked at some dusty old clocks which although likely to make a decent profit, were also likely to be a lot heavier to grab hold of, and were impractical for their noise. Still, she leaned in to examine one before moving on to take a look at the next item. She almost snorted when she saw an old tea set. Surprisingly fitting for England, but not remotely interesting for her.
Sheila straightened up when she heard movement, turning to face the person. “Sorry, I was just browsing. Did you want a closer look?”
