Ingredients: 200g fondant icing. Blue food coloring. Edible glitter optional. Cornstarch for dusting. Small starfish-shaped cookie cutter. Food-safe paintbrush. Water.
Instructions: Knead the fondant icing for a few minutes until it's smooth and easy to work with. The fondant needs a few drops of blue food coloring. Knead it until it is the right color blue for your starfish. Sprinkle cornstarch on your work surface to keep things from sticking, and then roll out the blue fondant until it's about 1/8-inch thick. Cut out starfish shapes from the fondant with the starfish-shaped cookie cutter. You can make as many cupcakes as you want. If you want the starfish to look like they're shimmering, brush them with a little water and then sprinkle edible glitter over them. Wait about an hour and then put them away. As soon as the starfish decorations are dry, carefully put them on top of the cupcakes to finish decorating for the beach.
