alex is a pretty good friend, siwoo can confidently say that. despite being thrown into this friendship ( thanks to their parents ), siwoo's quite thankful that the both of them were able to form something that was genuine. which is probably why he drags alex wherever he can – it's that sense of security that siwoo didn't quite have growing up, that he finds in alex. which is exactly why he'd decided to drag alex to the library with him, so that the both of them could freely discuss their work together and hopefully, get something good done.
"man, all the rooms are booked," he sighs, taking a good look at the row of study rooms. this isn't usually the case for siwoo. by some sort of odd luck, there'd always be at least one available room for him and his friends to use whenever they visited the campus library. the campus was huge anyway, why couldn't the school invest in more rooms? "fuck, i really wanted to use a study room. we can't exactly discuss things out loud here."
well this sucked.
he turns to alex, and begins tapping his foot, a habit he'd picked up as a kid whenever he was anxious or thinking. "oh right, we can just buy these rooms right? should i go up to those students and buy the room from them? how much do you think it would cost?" nonchalantly, siwoo pulls out his wallet from his back pocket, thankful that he'd decided to carry some cash for the day. "like 50000 won?"

waiting for his turn on the stage has been a damn drag. it's his fault for arriving late, he supposes, but he didn't expect a couple of hours of delay to make sure a big difference. there has been a couple of familiar faces yun's been able to spot around the place, but it's mostly just been him wandering about the festival alone. he's not against the whole socializing thing, and especially not against having a little fun in a crowd, but having it all happen in broad daylight was a little unnerving. he's spent too much time within the darkness of his room recently, it seems. it made sense though, as the summer heat beat down on the top of his head. clutching his almost-empty bottle of water, he does a little jog towards the nearest tree for shade.
an hour left, it's getting quick ridiculous, he furrows his brow. maybe he should just skip out and head home- no, he honestly doesn't have the guts to disappoint people like that. disappoint who exactly? oh, you know--the imaginary people in his head. he's sure they're all just dying to see him perform, waiting to get his autograph and all.
and while it's good to have an active imagination, he can't imagine it's going to do him much good if he sits here daydreaming about success the whole time. he's been idly people-watching this whole time, and his mind finally returns to reality long enough to recognize someone.
"alex," the way he manages to close the gap between them in mere seconds would've been concerning to anyone else. "i didn't know you were going to be here." there's a warm smile on his face, letting the other know he's happy to see him. his gaze flits downwards though, towards what alex is carrying, and he raises his eyebrows questioningly. a trash bag? "what are you up to?"

with his semester classes having had ended a week or two prior, ayemi had ample time on his hands to do the things that he loved to do - which usually consisted of anything music related or hanging out with his friends. he had spent the first week of his summer vacation held up in his room, unable to focus on anything but finishing the song he had been working on for over a month. final examinations and other academic related responsibilities had taken his attention away from music, much to his chagrin. but he had promised his father that as long as he was a student, academics would come first. and in return, his father didn’t force him to completely stop pursuing music and his father took care of him financially for the time being.
which was the main part of the reason why ayemi was able to afford rent in a nice apartment in seoul. not exactly luxury, but nicer than most places a lot of people his age usually lived. and even though he could afford it on his own, he still wanted a roommate - which was how alex came into the picture. he and alex had been friends for quite a long time; reaching back to their pre adolescence when they had become penpals. finding out that his childhood penpal had moved to south korea around the same time that he had only made the transition into moving to a new country all the more easier for him.
“yah, hurry up! i want to make it to the food stands before they get too packed.” the taller male gave his friend and gentle nudged with his elbow, as if he were encouraging him to walk faster. “i know those little legs can move faster than that - i’ve seen you play sports before.”
