Post war, Hawk pays Trapper a visit; the trip lands on (the week of, maybe?) St. Patrick’s Day. Trapper is doing the Bostonian tradition of getting absolutely plastered day of the holiday— the day(s) leading up to it perhaps as well. Does hilarity ensue? Drunken declarations or admissions of love, or something else?

ALT— hawkeye is working at Mass General (thanks to a recommendation from Charles) trying to get back into medicine. its St. Patricks day 1955 (a thursday i looked it up) and hawkeye is having fun babysitting the various drunken reprobates that got into brawls and need small stitches or a bandage or two. he sees a flash of curly hair and his heart skips. the man is holding an ice pack to his face but Hawk knows its Trapper. He swans over and says something sassy like ‘dont tell me youve gone and messed up that pretty face of yours, doctor’ and Trapper like drops the ice pack. His nose is def broken and hes on the wrong side of sober so he thinks he’s hallucinating…. etc!!!!
