Bear foot fundoshi
Lucy Pevensie - “Queen Lucy the Valiant”
Something interesting about bear feet! Slipping is what happens when bacteria causes the first layer of skin and hair to separate from the rest of the skin. After tanning this bear we noticed that the actual paw pad had started to slip or to do something similar in nature. The harder outer layer of skin was slightly separating from the layers of skin underneath. The harder layer of skin was porous while the under layer was spiked similarly to a cats tongue. It's easy to see how these layers typically interlock like Velcro, and the either bacteria growth or the tanning process caused them to separate. Please note: I don't have any solid knowledge of what was happening here other than my own observation. If someone knows more about this please feel free to add some input!
