Oh it’s been too long indeed, Stoya had no qualms about being picked up for once. Her history with Cicero warranted the bear hug he was receiving.
He’d been the light in her darkest years, his smile reflected this quality of his. Pure and joyous, it warmed her heart, tears prickling in the corner of her eyes.
“I’ve missed you, so dearly.” She hummed, wrapping her arms around his neck, “so..i think..we both know.” She tilted her head up at him, smiling vaguely.
“I’m not going planning to go back any time soon,” she had spent the last three years rebuilding her mothers public businesses and tax havens, little time remained for her daughter…or letters to her lover.
All of his senses were overwhelmed with her. Face full of that red hair, he smelt that same familiar smell. He was perfectly content to stay like this for as long as she would let him.
The assassin didn’t get to see her too often these days. It was safer that way, considering his... profession.
The way she held him felt like home.
“How long is that hmm?” He grumbled lowly, so close he waited for the moment he would just meld into her already. Time stood still and it almost made up for the past few years she had been away. There was so much that was new. Things to catch up on. But this? His love for her always remained the same. No matter the distance, time, or hardships. He always waited for her to come home.
