Beara, Kaita’s supervisor. All you have to know about ‘em is simply: whatever Kaita is, Beara is often the opposite. A jaded, dry-wit cynic, they’re the bitter, mouth-burning spice to Kaita’s sugar. They’re also a huge party animal. like… a wild bear let loose in a nightclub.

Beara’s also much, much older than they look.

Who of your, OCs, creates bad vibes? The anti-grandma

See I normally design OCs with the intent of coming up with people I’d like hanging out with, folk you’d want at a party or someone you could open up to. I try to maximize wholesomeness in OCs because it’s something important to me. 

Even Zachary, though undeniably stuck up and bratty, is only really a jerk sometimes because he just doesn’t get certain things about human feelings (+a huge ego), not usually out of any real malice. So he’s a neutral, between grandma and anti-grandma.

The closest thing to a true anti-grandma would be Beara. They are, for lack of a better term, an asshole. Very condescending, brash but somehow composed at the same time, confident (but annoyingly not over-confident enough to get into trouble), and goes a little too hard on the “tough” part of “tough-love”.

So I guess while Kaita is a sweet, nice grandma who’s very considerate, Beara is the harsh, mean grandma who’ll be happy to say “i told you so” when you screw up at something. Beara is intentionally meant to be a sort of foil to Kaita as her supervisor.

haven’t drawn this bear in like, a year

for those unaware, this bear works as both the bouncer and mechanic at the club Kaita works at. In a setting chock full of robots, mechanics are sort of like doctors, except they’re a lot less serious and professional about the whole thing. Don’t underestimate this one though; they’re a lot smarter than they look, and older as well.
