I went to a living history fair!

and got a crap tonne of fabric!

Me, liam (clan chief) and stu-bear were like kids in a candy store as we wandered around all these stalls from all over Europe selling everything from wooden chamber pots to full suits of metal armour and real swords and bows- most of the event was aimed at the re-enactment crowds but there was a couple of larp stalls- good old irregular props and Eldritch and yay for chows emporium who let us know the event was even happening :)

It was held in the grounds of a large equestrian centre between Coventry and Rugby it was muddy to say the least but everything was awesome once we got inside

I could have spent thousands of pounds on costume and props- it was beautiful and a lot of the stalls were in character with medieval tents and awnings

Liam bought a new dagger and massive effing larp claymore from irregular props- game of thrones quotes aplenty. Both me and liam brought some PROPER mead

I was a little disappointed with some of the people there though. I will note that  for the most part everything was awesome BUT there are a few re-enactors ( and i know not all historical re-enactors are like this) and stalls that looked down on larpers like we didn't belong there or that our hobby was somehow stupid- some were down right rude. 

BUT something i will say about living history guys:

they dont fuck around

Spring Moot 1114- highs and lows

Highs - My first Linear!: Lheyna got "volunteered" to go on a bears plot mission to forest rise  in the great forest (which made lheyna's heart sink as that was the place where frostie died) but it was awesome!: shattered some goblins stuff- knocked out a werebear... twice. - was accepted as an initiate priestess of the Cerridwen: i am now the proud owner of a black half stripe on my face after proving myself worthy of serving the queen Cerridwen( bear ancestor of death, knowledge, wisdom and prophecy) - Was able to explore Lheyna's character past more when some false morrigan followers (nasty, cannibal nutjobs) came attacking in the night- a serious ghost that has come back to haunt her. People in my  clan thought i'd been affected by a curse that was going round coz lheyna is usually so calm, gentle and collected but lheyna wanted to rip people's faces off and capture one alive to torture horribly. - Been put forward for warlock, the warlocks in my faction are now keeping an eye on me to see if i'm worthy ( Dum Dun Duuuuuuun!) - The weather was lovely, sunny and warm! aside from the friday night (see lows)

Lows - falling awkwardly during monstering as a skaven on sunday and hurting my back enough to stop me running around for a bit- stuart drugged me on some strong painkillers and left me in the tent :P - The friday night was FREEZING!!! it dropped down to -5c it was so cold all i could do was lie in bed and shiver violently with stuart.

Me and stu-bear have just recieved this years tickets, character cards and in character money for lorien trust! hells yh!

between us we have two taal and two gold- which works out to about 10 gold (yaaay) 

this years prebooked skills for moi:

+8 spell cards ( ULTIMATE COSMIC POWAH!) perform transport rite (allows me to use transport circles and take 15 other people with me... makes me very useful) create potion 1.... my long overdue skill, allows me to make a level 1 potion per event.

and stu bear hasnt brought many skills as he's waiting till he's a were creature so he can buy awesome were powers
