The Context Behind This
The person in the dress is Ava, one of Dia's closes friends they meet in the city. They first met Ava at the Ambrose Hospital after delivering a parcel and bumped into her in the hallways on their way out.
A nurse was suppose to accompany Ava but she was on her lunch break so Dia helped her instead. Dia became her friends onwards because she didn't want Ava to miss out on life and tried to help her feel less lonely. So bringing her to the gala is one of the things she did.
