hi!! love your art a whole lot 🤠 wanted just to say that based on your posts on abstract art, u might like some of the stuff from the New York School art movement (1950s i think)? i had a lecture on it this morning, & whilst your paintings seem a lot brighter in colour, i think they had that kind of non-conformity that *might* interest u :) also a lot of modernist/post modernist, or avant-garde art. a lot of modernists (1910s-20s ish) were very keen to break away from literature references or depictions of real life, & wanted paintings to start being about the act/process of painting 🦐
OH THIS IS IT!!! not just abstract art, but abstract expressionism! i love hyper specific genres !(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑
hehe u can tell bc i dont name them. this is my form of doodling LOL xD
this is rlly interesting, see, i don't really think/have motivations when i do my abstract art. i just sit there and color until i like it. i like blending impressionism and expressionism, astigmatic art, it's about capturing the moment, color, and lights, while also having every single brushstroke be human.
the name comes from visual astigmatism:
examples of the style in my art, and van goghs. he was an impressionist painter, but he saw the world in an irreplaceable way. he captured moments. that's what makes it astigmatic art.
