I want to separate the show from him but knowing how horrendously the women were treated making it just makes that impossible. It also explains some of the really shitty writing where he was obviously going after the actress involved
cordelia’s treatment on ats season 4 and buffy’s treatment on btvs season 6 make A LOT of sense to me now. but I have known joss is an awful person for many years now and none of this is surprising to me. I can understand if this taints some people’s experience of his shows now, and if they don’t want to watch any of his stuff anymore. but buffy has been permanently ingrained in me so I won’t be cutting it from my life. totally respect the people that choose to do so, though!
