Beatrix and Salim had a very small and quiet wedding, as their families are nearly distant memories to them both. That’s why they both moved to the Greater San Myshuno Area™ anyway: for a fresh start, clean of any ugliness from their pasts. Though their certainly love didn’t need a piece of paper from Willow Creek Town Hall to be meaningful and real, it meant the start of something new: a family of their own.
Still, their relationship was far from perfect. It wasn’t long after that wedding that Bea was expecting another bundle of joy. Due to a complicated and all-the-time-sickness pregnancy, Beatrix took time off from her literary critic career to be a stay-at-home mom.
She envied Salim’s sky-rocketing success in the publishing world, and missed socializing with similar literature-minded adults. Reading ‘Princess Plumbob’ over and over again to a toddler was starting to lose its appeal. But the proud, determined mother carried on, her adoration for her family pushing her through the next few tumultuous years of their lives.
Beatrix was very happy to learn another grandbaby is on the way. THAT MAKES ONE OF US BEA!
The teens went to the spa. Mimi and ‘Auntie’ Noma were there.
Anissa’s mother, Beatrix, is an elder and my heart is not ready for this. Though, I have to admit, she’s a lovely old bird.
Beatrix: Happy birthday, Pumpkin!
Clem: Thanks, Mimi! It’s so good to see you.
Beatrix: You’re gorgeous, just like I knew you’d be. Now here’s some money, go have fun in the city.
Clem: Without you?
Beatrix: Without me.
Clem: Why is this strange man talking to me?
And home before curfew, with time to do her homework for her first day of high school.
