The adorable bfs: Dorian, Tainan, and Idhren
Who hogs the duvetDorian. He’s fresh off the boat and hasn’t gotten used to the southern climate yet. Idhren doesn’t like the cold, but he’s learned how to deal with it, and he usually sleeps in the middle where it’s toasty warm.
Who texts/rings to check how their day is goingTainan. Gotta check up on the boys to make sure they don’t get so distracted by research/studying that they forget to eat and stuff.
Who’s the most creative when it comes to giftsTainan. They like to give hand made things or go out and find something totally unique. Who gets up first in the morningTainan. They are absolutely a morning person and used to waking up early to go hunting or do chores. Idhren and Dorian will both happily sleep until noon if you let them.Who suggests new things in bedMost often it’s Tainan. They’re willing to try anything once if their partners are.Who cries at moviesIdhren, although he will vehemently deny it afterward.Who gives unprompted messagesTainan. They love to make their partners feel loved and appreciated, so random acts of affection are frequent.How they are when they’re sickTainan is absolutely not sick, nope, perfectly fine, nothing wrong at all. I’m not coughing up a lung you’re imagining things.Idhren quietly takes care of himself, protests against anyone helping him out because he doesn’t want to be a burden. Will curl up in bed with a book and some tea and tell you not to bother with him, he’ll be fine in a day or two.Dorian complains as though he’s dying. Curls up in bed and simultaneously wants nobody to see him and for someone to wait on him hand and foot.
Who gets jealous easiestDorian. Probably because he came into the relationship later on and doesn’t have any experience with healthy relationships, let alone polyamorous ones. So he tends to get jealous if he feels like he’s being left out or neglected.Who collects something unusualNone of them, really. Idhren collects books, Dorian collects jewelry, clothes, and also books, Tainan picks up interesting knickknacks and cool things they find.Who takes the longest to get readyDorian. He has to shave, style his hair, do his makeup, pick out an outfit for the day. Who is the tidiest and organizedIdhren. He’s a librarian at heart and all of his things are organized just so. Maker help you if you mess up his bookshelves. Who gets most excited about the holidaysNone of them get particularly excited about the holidays, but Dorian is actually the most interested. Growing up, Idhren never had anyone to celebrate holidays with, and later was dragged around to parties he hated. The Dalish don’t have many holidays and the times they do celebrate are not particularly elaborate, usually just a larger communal meal, so Dorian is the only one with fond childhood memories or sentimental traditions.Who is the big spoon/little spoonThree people makes a sandwich. Most often Idhren is in the middle, but sometimes Dorian. Tainan is almost never in the middle because it’s too hot and if they wake up before the other two they’re kind of stuck.Who gets most competitive when playing games and/or sportsIdhren likes to be the best at everything, so he can be very competitive. Who starts the most argumentsDorian and Idhren bicker constantly and it would be impossible to say which of them starts it more often. What are their nicknames for each otherIdhren will call Tainan ‘Tai’, ‘carus’, and rarely ‘vhen’an’. Dorian is ‘amatus’.Tainan calls Idhren ‘city boy’ and Dorian ‘pretty boy’, and they’re both any form or really sappy elvhen endearment.For Dorian they’re both ‘amatus’ (plural ‘amati’).
Who suggests that they buy a petTainan. They’re the only one who would be interested enough to go out and actually get one.What couple traditions they haveThree people makes coordinating schedules even more difficult. So they make a point to try and have at least one meal together, all three of them, once a week.And when it’s one person’s birthday the other two bring breakfast in bed.
What tv shows they watch together(we’ll skip this one because no tvs in thedas and also i don’t watch tv so...)Another couple they hang out withSera and Dagna most often. How they spend time together as a coupleIdhren and Dorian hang out in the library as research buddies. If they’re both engrossed in reading sometimes Tainan will bring their latest crafting project and join them (usually making arrows), or they’ll read outside so Tainan can just lay in the sun like a cat (or make flower crowns). All three of them enjoy sparing from time to time, although Idhren and Tainan do it most often. Who made the first moveTainan. In both instances it was Tainan. They were the one who started flirting with Idhren first, and then the one that proposed (multiple times). Then they were the one who actually approached Dorian.Who brings flowers homeTainan, because they like to make their partners happy.Who is the best cookIdhren. He taught himself to cook after moving in with Tainan because Tainan only knows how to cook like 2 things, and turns out he’s actually pretty good at it.Who snoresDorian, but good luck getting him to admit it.
