Such an amazing day seeing fish 🐠 and turtles 🐢 at #tunnelsbeach and I brought the BAE- Books are Everything 📚 bag I got at @beaulitfulcon from @booksparks . Great for snorkeling gear too! . This place feels like the end of the world, #moana mountains 🏔 with waters so clear and ocean 🌊 breezes. . It’s wonderful to see #kauai rebuilding after the devastating floods, we were there the first week that they opened the shuttle service so we could put our toes in the sand and touch our favorite beach 🏖 anywhere. ❤️🐟🏝🏄🏻‍♂️🐚 . Have you meet #maxtilt yet by wonderful author @peterlerangis ? These great adventures begin with a retelling of #20000leaguesunderthesea from the perspective of Max, a distant relative of the original adventurer who finds a magical box in his attic. These are clean reads, very humorous, and great for middle grade readers, especially if they like adventure and unexpected twists. . I love this saying from #beaulitfulcon and author @ashleybeaudin “You are exactly who the world needs.” @bookbeau has the most wonderful book caddies and @owlcrate monthly reading planner is keeping me on track. Continuing posts in gratitude this month! One of my early mentors, accomplished author @sandrabyrdbooks is so skilled at placing you right in a magical place -whether it’s a young girl picking strawberries 🍓🍓🍓for summer work, where I can almost smell and taste it in the moment with jam dribbling down my fingers, or a beautiful tale about an evaluator of antiquities and tangled in love with the man who broke her heart 💔. I can definitely relate to the antiques as a gemologist and can’t wait to read her latest book! 📚📚 . I’m loving this #bookcandle 🕯 I bought at #Beaulitfulcon called Book Club by @novellyyours which smells like strawberry jam, too! . What’s something you received as a child that you love? Since the book is about treasures, I included one that was given to me by my great Aunt Sally for my 16th birthday 🎂- a miniature hand-painted tea set. ☕️ . Sandra really taught me a lot about voice and how to think like my #mglit #middlegrade readers and create a great adventure of my own.
