Mock strawberries, or hebi-ichigo in Japanese, which literary means “snake strawberries.” Apparently they were given that name because they grow in damp spots where snakes might like to crawl past. Because of the name, they don’t seem so popular in this country where little and cute things gain overwhelming support. But perhaps that’s for the best. These tiny beauties are left alone and nonchalantly live their lives to the fullest in this little corner of a park. #tokyo #japan #travel #travelgram #photoessay #essay #mockstrawberry #hebiichigo #beautifulmay
