Like any other move-in day, there was no sudden surge of people but rather a constant trickle of ‘new’ blood. There was the expected chaos of those not knowing where to go, others pining for their old lives already, and still more doing what they could to make friends before everyone went their own ways and meeting those who stayed behind. Remy watched with a smile, though he was constantly on alert for anything that could be perceived as a threat; empathy loosened to assist in that endeavor.
So many unfamiliar faces and so very few that made him think he knew them at all (likely having passed them in a hall once or twice over the months). Uncertain has he had been as to who remembered what or who was a potential enemy, Remy hadn’t made too much of an effort to go out of his way and meet others in the house; instead choosing to learn what he could of everyone there. This was essentially exactly the same thing, watching over everyone as they met each other for the ‘first’ time.
With so many people around, it was only a matter of time before he was stopped –almost walking into the person. “Pardonnez-moi, didn’ see you dere. Not so used to people bein all cramped up like dis.”
