This was something he probably should’ve thought through more. Suddenly after driving with a dog and a few boxes of things (and his surf board) from California to New York, it was at the gates of his destination that Mathieu started having doubts.
Maybe calling first would’ve been a better idea? Probably… yeah, that would be smart. Then again, ‘smart’ wasn’t normally something that people would call him. Impulsive? Now that was much more up his alley. Deciding to leave the car parked a little bit away from the… “Holy hell was that a mansion? Who canafford something like that? Wow! Man, I’d love to meet the guy that owns this place.” But anyway, Mathieu parked the car a bit away and hopped out; Luxord hopping –read: practically falling- out of the passenger seat as most puppies tend to do.
Walking up and waiting awkwardly at the gate while he was questioned by the voice (and probably scanned for organic and human status, just like in all the spy movies) he was finally allowed entrance. Tentatively poking his head into the first few rooms, he called out. “Hey, is anyone here? Newbie looking for some sort of guidance this way.” Looking down at the golden retriever, he added as an afterthought “…I hope you guys are chill with dogs.” Where would the head person’s office be… hmm….
