CHAPTER 1 - PAGE 14 I’m trying to get chattier under these pages because supposedly people like hearing the author’s thoughts, but I’ve always been a person inclined to err on the side of the story speaking for itself. That’s a harder line to straddle with a webcomic, though, especially a weekly, because of the slow update schedule; looking over the pages as they’re uploaded, it’s been months of misery, but collected this first chapter is just 16 pages of Justine being absolutely overwhelmed  and exhausted. It’s been a long, long day.

What I’m saying is, I promise things look up soon! Even at the hardest times, life isn’t all misery. There’s unexpected light in the direst of places.

Chapter 1 - Page 3 Sunrise over the city.

I don’t have anything particularly exciting to announce this time-- no upcoming cons, Kickstarters, news, or publications-- but I want to thank everyone for reading, sharing & commenting! We’re still working on approving ads (all revenue from ads will go directly to the creative team)-- so commenting and sharing will help us out when Google’s adbot crawls the site for content (sadly, bots don’t see pictures .... yet). And, of course, we’d love to hear from you in general. If you’re not a fan of ads, I totally understand! We’d also always appreciate tips and pledges via Patreon-- and I’d like to clarify here that while the Patreon is centered on my work (I’m the writer) and you can access a bunch of my prose content and short stories there, I pay the artist, the colorist, and the letterer out of Patreon funding.
