Day #97: Jen Holan. No reference. 6 minutes
After letting it sit on the backburner for a few years, I finally got Mud + Laser in a state to publish. I had the opportunity to run a one-shot of it at Between Two Cons last weekend, and had a blast with it. Truly the biggest barrier to getting anything done has been play: since 2020, I haven't been able to reconvene my old in person group. Anyway! Mud + Laser is a baroque military science fantasy game about partisans fighting in a Great Galactic War against a crumbling interstellar empire. It's inspired by Rogue One, Andor, Dune, and (very roughly!) on 17th and 18th century history. Built on the bones of Mausritter. It has a few unique features including:
Variable armor values based on damage type.
Goal-based XP.
A character upgrade system based on decorations for diagetic achievements.
Currently available exclusively on RPG Trader.
Space: 164X

Day #93: Whitemask. Some reference. 17 minutes
Whitemask is a character of particular infamy in Vanquera. Known for their avant-garde methods and style, Whitemask is known only as Whitemask. It has been troublesome for authorities to discern who Whitemask is and what their deal is, beyond their pattern of killing divorced women and their costuming. There have been a number of copycats, and thus Whitemask has chosen to introduce a few additional signatures, including leaving a handwritten note detailing the details of the divorced women and what states they left the other parties in, generally with the women being better off. Some attribute Whitemask's intentions as a fight against misandry. Others see it as misogyny, targeting even the women escaping abusive relationships. Whatever the case, Whitemask proves divisive.
Time Remembers Her
She died centuries ago.
History remembers her as a forgotten casualty. Time remembers something else.
Some stories are not about saving the world. Some are about surviving long enough to watch the world become unrecognizable.
A new story is taking shape.
Not all legends are myths. Some are memories.
