This is where I spent most of the day. Not too shabby is it?! It was absolutely fabulous. All we could hear were the goat bells & the various noises the goats made. It was fascinating watching them wend their way down from their precarious perches on rocks to sip the sea water. I didn't know that goats drank salt water, but I s'pose it makes sense as there's no ground water around & it hasn't rained for months. Manganari beach - the first beach I visited on Ios all those many years ago. I'm a different person than I was back then, but the wonder and magic is still there. There is nothing quite as magical for me than strolling along Long Beach, shell collecting & feeling the hot sand beneath my bare feet & wading in & out of the crystal clear water. At one with sea & nature. Pure bliss. Happy Monday, have a good week! Had a late start today - haven't been sleeping well - maybe unaccustomed to the warmth in the house & I can't seem to get up in the morning. A windy day today. I'm sitting huddled in 2 dressing gowns in my garden & looking up: my #bougainvillea against my neighbour's wall with a patch of #bluesky. Can't complain. It'll look awesome once it's whitewashed! While I sit in peace here, a load of ideas come to me: I've solved the storage problem for my art materials temporarily & also got some other stuff out of the way. I'd better get dressed & get on with the day, besides my wardrobe has just collapsed.
