Going along with this whole “Icarus” theme that Horikoshi’s got going on with Hawks, I very much want this “Pro-Hero” arc to be a shit-show for the pros. Like, Hawks gets himself and Endeavor fucked - top two heroes taken out at once. Like, I mean Endeavor dies and Hawks loses his wings or something, because holy crap that would push the narrative to such interesting place. People would lose even more faith in the Pros.

The fact it would be Hawks that gets people killed would be a beautiful play on the story of Icarus, with himself not only being totally taken out of action, but if he gets current #1 taken with him, people will now not only see the current gen of pros as weak af but also reckless and stupid. With the rockiness of the pros standing in public eyes already, that would be the biggest blow yet.

The whole pros structure would just fucking crumble, and I really feel like this is what Horikoshi is trying to foreshadow. Like no way is Horikoshi introducing these new pros/Endeavor and playing this Icarus theme if the pros don’t get seriously fucked up at the end of this arc.
