Rewatching 'The Ninth Jedi': ah, right, Production I.G.'s stuff just looks like that, doesn't it?
(I watched Broken Blade, which I would not advise anyone else attempt. I did it mainly out of curiosity about the aesthetic and man, was that all it had going for it and not even that beyond a decent grasp of texture and motion.)
(As far as Star Wars: Visions goes, the only one that's really blown me away is 'Screecher's Reach', because it genuinely does something I've not seen Star Wars do before. There's some perfectly fine stuff among the rest, but for me, they're either dispensable fun [no bad thing, obviously] or a great aesthetic applied to utterly by-the-numbers stories.)
(Now would be a really terrible time to start thinking about my old Star Wars OCs again...)
