me, internally: no, i care that shippers twist their characters. it worries me that people consider a thinly-veiled tolerance as love and attraction when their 'relationship' is the epitome of little boys hurting little girls on the playground under the excuse that they've got a crush. i dislike it when shippers take canon moments between shiro and keith and remove shiro, have lance say his lines, brandish shiro as an older brother figure while poking holes in their own arguments when lance delivers the line 'it's good to have you back.'
i dislike when people claim lance is bisexual and then erase his attraction to women. i dislike when people mark their budding respect and admiration as yet another sibling relationship.
i despise the people that wrongly accuse sheith supporters of being pedophile apologists. i despise the people that said despicable things to the cast and crew of this show. i despise the people that act like petty children and encapsulate everything that makes this fandom at times unbearable, other times unpleasant. the people that would send death threats to those that understood the depth, complexity, and genuine love that lies in shiro and keith's relationship, the people that throw fits, the people that cannot act like decent human beings.
