So, who’s up for part 2 of Legend’s WingAU fic? I am, so here it is. Behold Ravio!
References for the wings can be found here. Fable has butterfly flagged wings and Legend has passerine, blue jay specifically. Hilda’s wings are based on a dragonfly and Ravio’s are based on a butterfly.

Ravio loved Link. He really did.
But Link was kind of an asshole.
Ravio pushed himself up from the ground, delicate wings fluttering as he looked up to frown at his best friend, who was doubled over laughing at him, wings flapping uselessly at his sides. He was laughing too hard to even sign properly.
“Mr. Hero,” Ravio whined.
Link brought one hand up to his chest and rubbed a fist in small, tight circles. ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,’
No you aren’t, Ravio thought bitterly as he stood and brushed himself off. “I’m trying my best here, Mr. Hero, but I’ve never flown before!” He pouted.
‘I know,’ Link signed, finally catching his breath. ‘I’m sorry. I just, you, the faceplant.’
He burst into giggles again.
The Princesses, who were doing lessons some feet away, looked over at them. Princess Zelda was beating the air with large butterfly shaped wings and was watching them with concern. No doubt she understood what her Hero was like. Princess Hilda was judging them. If Princess Zelda knew Link, then Ravio knew Princess Hilda. She was hovering midair, her four dragonfly wings beating in the air so fast they blurred together. She was doing great learning to fly. Ravio was not.
She was judging him.
You try learning to fly when your teacher is mute and insists you need to look ahead of you and not at him, which makes it impossible to read sign! He shot them both a grin and a set of thumbs up.
Princess Zelda seemed to relax at the reassurance. Princess Hilda narrowed her eyes further.
Ravio turned back to Link, who had finally seemed to calm down.
Ravio had thought the Hyruleans’ wings were gorgeous when he first saw them. Link had blue jay wings, in every shade of pink Ravio knew about. When he flew they all blended into one, and you could only really tell the different shades when the light hit them. Princess Zelda had feathered wings that looked like a butterfly, bright reds and pinks, with a few gold feathers only on the inside at the base that could only be seen when she spread them out wide or took to the sky. He’d never seen people with feathered wings before.
Now he was finding the pinks annoying. Maybe it was just because his flight teacher was terrible.
His flight teacher was terrible.
‘Okay,’ Link signed at him. ‘Let’s try again,’
Ravio took a deep breath, pushed aside the angry thoughts, and nodded. “Alright Mr. Hero, let’s go again.”
Ravio did eventually get the hang of flying. He didn’t do so quickly, or easily and Link never got better at teaching, but he did learn to fly.
He learned better from watching Princess Zelda and Princess Hilda than he did from Link. That might be because they had wings more similar to his.
Regardless, he enjoyed flying once he knew how, especially when Link was willing to come with him. He liked flying with Link, even with how much of an asshole his best friend could be.
But nothing was better than flying over Hyrule’s skies with one of few people he knew would always be on his side.
